The armadillo is the god, its in the intro, it wins them the ball game and its the one that comes up with the plan for the boat crash

52:15, I hope they understand what was happening? I get it, they haven't seen this movie but that scene is so obvious on what's going on.

same vibes, similar animation style but Treasure Planet leans a bit more into the cgi on certain things. Both have great soundtracks

So I don't remember where I saw it, but there was a theory that the armadillo is actually the god(s). It showed up in the backstory intro, it follows and helps the duo get to Eldorado, and their plan (given by the armadillo) works in the end while he is onboard. Makes sense to me lol

you all should look in to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Road_to_... whitch is a series of old movies that this one was based around story beats wise not plot. There is a lot of 4th wall braking that at first glance in the old movies that is not in this one but Altivo is the only one who is able to brake the 4th wall in this movie so as to anchor it more to the plot. I reqmend watching them even if you dont do a reaction.

So glad you reacted to this its a fun movie. As for what Boom said I think he's right bleeding is actually a very important part of Aztek gods, not so sure about Incan or what El Dorado's people are meant to be. Vaguely recall blood playing a part in their creation of humans. Also you have to wonder if the chief thinks they are gods at the end. They show up, dispose of the priest, have him build a boat that turns out to be vital to protect his people and then leave in as you said a godly exit.

Lin Manuel Miranda may not be a famous singer, but he is a huge name in theatre/broadway, and Disney does get him as a writer for some stuff. But yeah, I guess maybe they don't get the big name singers so much anymore.

This is one of my favorite childhood movies, glad you guys enjoyed it. If you want another Dreamworks banger of a movie, one of their more recent ones that I adore if you haven't seen it yet is The Sea Beast. Karl Urban voices the main character. I think you all will like it. A good mix of pirate themes and wholesome movie goodness.
