Dudes. I love you. But within a series, its like the ocean. Sometimes there are big waves (amin story), then smaller ones ("small stories" that actually make the world breathe and explore it.).
Only big waves would be great at first, but ultimately be boring. This is a series, not a movie.
Enjoy the ride as it is, ride the waves as they come so to speak. And you will have much more fun rather than expecting only big waves, I promise. :)
In most instances I'd agree however given the story this time it doesn't totally make sense that there sitting around doing nothing while this is going on

Season 5 was'nt rushed. The original plan for SU was around 5-8 seasons but due to (at the time) not that many fans and a budget that was running out they made them have less seasons. On top of that obviously, throughout the whole show, there were loads of Gay/Lesbian hints and at the time no other cartoon really supported homosexuality so they decided to kind of cancel it due to too many hints. Since at the time it was weird. Overall it wasnt rushed but they were presented. 1. They could do 2-3 more seasons of basically filler or 2. 1 more season of High quality eps.

I understand your frustrations with the Earth episodes, but I think the Beach City evolving and changing was an important theme for the show as it mirrored Steven growing and changing, and all the discomfort people can have with it. Plus, Beach City issues are what Steven personally cares about the most as the gem space stuff are things he was forced to deal with due to the actions of others.

The fact we could have had Onion lord high dominator of the stars makes me like the lars of the stars left.
I am SO excited for the next batch of diamond tier episodes! 18-24 are my favorite episodes of the season! And the reason for the show getting canceled. Well episodes 21-24 are at least. But honestly it's constantly moving from 17-the finale. Also worth noting that episode 29-32 are all considered the finale, it's a big 4 part-er.
I don't know when your next batch of Steven Universe episodes will be, but trust that the next time you watch it's instantly gonna be full throttle again and I CAN'T WAIT to see y'all react to it

The finale of SU S5 is one giga episode comprised of the last 4 eps of the season, kinda like how Bismuth and Gem Harvest was doubled in 2, this finale is of 4.
