  1. They’re usually pretty smart when watching shows and catch on quick but here they didn’t get that when beast boy said “they’re just like me” he meant they’re “just having fun” without realizing the suffering they’re causing to others. He’s not a god like them. And when they didn’t realize the old guy was slade too. Until it was announced by robin

  2. It’s funny you guys bring up Ben 10, the Art Director of for every Ben 10 show after OG Series was the same guy who created this show! Also the voice actress for Raven voices Ben 10, while Beast Boy’s VA voices Kevin Levin.

  3. The whole point of OG Robin, is being the opposite of Batman in personality. XD Kid was jovial and a tease, and once he gets older, a bit of a casual flirt. The reason he left Batman during this time, was because he didn’t want to *become* Batman. That’s the main reason why I didn’t think Teen Titan’s Robin was Dick Grayson, but Time Drake or even Jason Todd.

  4. There are Definitely Gods in DC
Wonder Woman’s WHOLE THING is Greek Mythology. She’s literally one of The Amazons, and basically a god herself, in some variations being the daughter of Zeus.

  5. A little incite on beastboys powers without spoilers are that he can turn in the entire animal kingdom depending on what planet/or realm he is in for example. if he was on a different planet and learned the atmosphere he could turn into all there animals on it. Side note if he knew about all the creatures aquaman controlled in the sea like the kraken he could turn into that too

  6. I haven’t watched Ben 10 but you guys bring it up a lot. Apparently Beastboy’s voice actor is in Ben 10 as well. I forgot he played Mikey for awhile lol. He’s in W.I.T.C.H and Super Robot Monkey Hyper Force Go as well, which are some other great shows

When I was a kid Raven was one of my favorites from this show, but Beastboy just grew on my so much over the years. I’m really glad you’re enjoying the show.

  7. btw you guys mentioned Glimmers voice actress Karen Fukuhara, she’s not Starfire, BUT if you’ve ever seen The Boys she plays Kimiko, and Katana in Suicide Squad. I just always think it’s funny how she voices such a pink pixie type character in She Ra but irl plays mute bloodthirsty assassins.

  8. Haha how do you guys know next to nothing about Batman and Robin? You guys should totally watch more DC stuff on the channel. I’m a huge DC fan, and as a kid, Teen Titans/Batman the Animated Series were my first steps into DC. Not gonna start throwing comics at you, but Batman Year One is always a good self contained read.

    1. I like “Under the Red Hood” and the Teen Titans crossovers like “Judas Contract” but I would also say not to watch those until you finish Teen Titans here just for DC lore spoilers. (That’s just me.)
They are definitely more adult movies, and I think mostly animated by the same man/team who did character designs for Vox Machina, right? ?

      1. Those are great, but these guys have very limited knowledge of the DC universe, even boom. So I agree they should def wait until after Titans for those. Not sure about the animation, though.

  9. The strongest in the team is Raven and it’s not even close. Not getting too much into it but in the comics Raven has actually fought Superboy, Superman’s son from the future who had all his powers and was actively trying to kill Raven and she just toyed with him.
Superman himself has fought with Raven and barely got out of it alive. Realistically she could one shot all of these chumps

      1. Yeah but vulnerability not in the sense that your average magician doing parlour tricks would one shot Superman. In most iterations it just means that Superman is not invincible against magic as he is against everything else. Think of it like this, he isn’t weak to magic he is just not resistent to it. The magic user still needs to be strong enough to hurt him.

  10. So fun fact: Episode 3 was actually supposed to be the first, but it got switched with Episode 1 for whatever reason. You can tell with that whole “countdown sequence” at the beginning and them conspicously not mentioning Slade’s name because they don’t actually know it yet.

  11. Just some background on Robin in the comics that shouldn’t spoil anything. So Robin (the first one, Dick Grayson) becomes a founding member of the Teen Titans pretty far into his career as a hero. And pretty often it’s written as how he strikes out on his own as he gets older and outgrows the sidekick role under Batman. Right now in the comics Dick is actually leader of the “Titans” no teen as the original members are all adults and they’re the defacto superhero team taking the place of the Justice League. There have been several versions of the teen titans team, usually lead by a robin (younger versions who Batman trains after each one grows older and takes on their adult role as a hero). Often the original team consists of, Robin (Dick Grayson), Speedy (a Green Arrow sidekick not a flash one lol), the original Aqualad, original wonder girl (Donna Troy), and original Kid Flash (Wally West). This show is based on “The New Teen Titans” comics from the 80s, the team was basically exactly as it is in the show here.

  12. on cartoon network LA, at least I remember, episode 3 was the first episode to air, many scenes from that episode even appear in the opening, so it must be the streaming platform that altered the order.

    1. So, Batman makes a few cameo appearances in the show, might want to look out for them, and an actual appearance in the comic. I’ve always assumed this takes place when Robin and Batman separated like in the comics
