Might be a fair thing to mention that a Captain is allowed to leave his ship once EVERYONE ELSE, is off it. Doing so before that is considered not only a crime in most places but a disgraceful act that will end your career on the seas forever.
It is partially due to honor, yes, but more so based on what you said, which is the idea that other people are still on board, either willingly to bring it down safely, or those whom were unable to flee themselves yet. Now you might ask how a captain can truly know if everyone is off the ship? often they don't, which does often mean they go indeed down with the ship, dutifully doing their best to hopefully safe at least one more sailor aboard.
Those people entrusted the captain with their lives, its his cause and duty to uphold that trust, even to the bitter end which the captain was likely at fault for getting them into.
remember the costa Concordia? that captain quit way early, which should give ya a vibe on how its looked at. Cause hundreds were still aboard his ship, that he got sunk.

Truly one of the best vids by Internet Historian (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qh9KBwqGxTI). Such a complete mess of a situation and shows the opposite of a good captain.

From the comment in the beginning of the second episode, it's so funny how Triple-H, most notable for getting WWE in trouble on D'generation X, is now the head of the promotion

Its too early to watch The Mandolorian now because of major plot points in later clone wars (and a bit from Rebels) But, you can watch Kenobi and Andor

Idk if you guys have noticed but after Anakin and Ahsoka rescued Plo Koon in season 1 from the Malevolence, every time the gang needs a rescue, he's always the one coming to their aid. At the start of season 2 when they needed to get off the planet and now when Anakin and Mace was trapped

1) DO NOT, and I mean DO NOT watch Mandalorian before finishing Clone Wars and Rebels. There are storylines and spoilers from those series that tie into seasons 1, 2, and 3 of Mandalorian and Ahsoka.
2) If you fancy it, read Jango Fett's origin story in the star wars comic books called Open Seasons. They were released around the same time as Attack of the Clones and serve as Jango's origins. How he became a Mandalorian, WHY he took the cloning job, and WHY he hated Jedi so much. It is REALLY REALLY GOOD!

Windu is so cool but I hate him as a person. He follows the jedi code to the letter and believes 100% in no attachments of any kind. He is the "perfect" Jedi

Do not watch Mandalorian yet. All of these shows are connected and storylines carry over and continue. There will be heavy spoilers for Clone Wars and Rebels in Mandalorian.

Ik u were talking about watching Manfalorian right now. Listen, don’t. At least not yet. It contains a few spoilers about Clone Wars and Rebels. It’ll be a while, but don’t watch Mando until after Rebels. Start on Andor, then after you watch clone wars but before u see Mandalorian, watch both Tales of the Jedi and Empire. They’ll kinda be important for the future, but they’re more like fun side stories with ppl u know

Mace is literally just an asshole. He's funny sometimes, he's strong as fuck, and he's not a bad guy, necessarily, but he's so aggro all the time.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT watch the Mandalorian (and Ashoka too) before finishing Clone Wars and Rebels. Not only are there major spoilers for both series in these shows, they're also the foundation for a lot of the stuff outside the movies, so a bunch a context will be missing if you go straight into it and it won't hit as hard. A good live action show yall can watch whenever you want is Andor, since you only really need to have seen Rogue One for that show (and even then, it holds up pretty well on its own).

So you can watch Mandalorian after Clone Wars and Rebels. Unfortunately there's spoilers for both shows if you watch the Mandalorian now since it takes place chronologically after those shows.

I bet you've seen this many times but it's recommended to watch Rebels before Mandalorian, and Mandalorian before Ahsoka. But after Clone Wars, Andor and Bad Batch are good to go. Rebels is so good, no worries.

So one thing about Windu, is that he’s a staunch believer of the Jedi Code and Order. He’s follows the letter to a T. I would say he’s that kiss ass co worker who suckers up to the manager for a promotion, but he doesn’t stop at assistant manager or regional manager. He’ll go all the way to CEO if he wanted
