If I'm generous, I think have 4 pairs of "shoes". One pair is old, in pretty bad shape, and super uncomfortable, and are my old shoes before I got my current main shoes. Another pair are this sort of mix between shoes and boots, but they're really beat up and the back of the sole of one of them is ripped so if I actually use it in deep snow, it gets inside the boot/shoe. Then I have some winter boots that I don't use often, but are in great shape, if you count those as "shoes". And lastly, I have my proper shoes that I use for everyday stuff.
I might actually technically have another pair of shoes as well somewhere, if I didn't throw them away, which would be the shoes I used before my last main pair. But yeah, the only reason I have so many pairs of shoes is because I don't tend to throw away my old ones when I finally replace them. I also don't replace my shoes often, usually I wait until they're really worn out and beat up and I kind of need new shoes because there are holes and things.

Something to remember about grevious vs jedi, grevious doesnt have the force, he just has a robot body and knows how to fight, jedi use the force while fighting to become faster, stronger, have quicker reflexs, and even predict enemies movements, so when grevious goes for a swing, a skilled jedi using the force already knows where hes swinging a second before he does, while when the jedi swings, grevious has to go off of just reflexes

Not sure if it’s a cannon answer, but to my understanding the Jedi can see like a second into the future. That’s why when they fight each other they do a lot of flashy moves to trick their opponent. Also, the materiel in a lightsaber is so heavy, it actually attracts shots from gas powered rifles, making it easier to deflect blaster shots. (Again, not sure if that is canon.)

logic and star wars dont really coexist. I think SW would have benefited from starting out as books rather than movies. Also slopfest is almost over I promise, season 3 and beyond the show really picks up a lot of interesting and continuous plot lines.

You guys should Check out the Novelization of the Revenge of the Sith, from what I remember it gives some of the jedi perspective you were looking for and adds a lot of cool details to some events. Also has one of the best intro's I've read in a book

Interesting how you mentioned if the Jedi were involved with Grievous's backstory because you're right. In his modern canon backstory, Grievous was a warlord on his home planet. His home planet was invaded by another planet and a war broke out. This was a long time before the clone wars. The Jedi intervened on the side of the invaders of Grievou's home planet and punished Grievous and his people. This led to famine and hatred in Grievous. Dooku saw this and offered him robot "improvements" before orchestrating a almost fatal crash for Grievous where he surrendered what little was left of his organic self. What remains of him is his brain, eyes, lungs, heart, and some miscellaneous organs in what's called his "gut sack". His original backstory was far simpler. Originally he was still a warlord but Dooku saw his potential, blew him up, re-built him, and blamed it on the Jedi.
Another note is that Grievous in the current canon vs Legends may as well be two different classes of warrior. His best example of legends Grievous is in the 2D micro series you guys started with. I can only imagine they changed him for this series because he needed to be more kid friendly since that was their market when the show was still airing. Still it sucks to see him lose sometimes when he should have won if not for writing as seen in two future episodes where by all means he wins but plot demands he lose.

what's interesting here is that because anakin and general grievous meet for the first time in episode three what happens is that you have to have two characters so anakin and grievous interact with each other without ever meeting. you will see that in the course of clone wars they will have interactions without ever coming face to face.

People who say “why don’t you just use the force” annoy me because they think it’s the easiest thing in the world.

15:43 This is one of the little background details I love that Clone Wars does. Whenever we see Anakin use the Dark Side of the Force, we can hear the Imperial March playing in the background. So whenever you see Anakin resorting to the Dark Side, listen out for the music.

Funny how you wonder if Jedi messed with his wife, Greivous’ original lore was actually kinda that. The Jedi interfered with a conflict on his homeworld which killed his wife, then Dooku blew him up and blamed the attack on the Jedi. George Lucas thought this was too Vadery though and wrote that out a lot later.

That’s not how it happened, the Jedi were never involved. the other species he was at war with went to the Republic and framed everything to put Grevious’ people at fault, then the Republic aided them and put sanctions on Grevious’ people, that’s it. His wife died in battle with the Huk. Then the Sith basically brainwashed him into hating the Jedi annd blaming them for everything after Dooku shot him down. Now he is a cyborg fueled by hate and vengeance.
