It's not really X-Men, but it is close. Hulk vs Wolverine & Hulk vs Thor.

So Apocalypse is one of the first mutants. He’s immortal and can control his body on a molecular level. Similar to Mr Fantastic. He’s the “caretaker” of earth assigned to ensure proper evolution by the Celestials(species that created earth humans Eternals and the X gene). He’s a huge deal as he has ties to Kang the Conquerer and nearly killed Thor in the past.

Including the Deadpool movies, there are a total of 13 (soon to be 14 with Deadpool 3). If you guys DO decide to watch them all watch in this order as it makes the most sense story-wise... X-Men: First Class, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, X-Men (2000), X2: X-Men United, X-Men: The Last Stand, the "Extended Cut" of The Wolverine, the "Rogue Cut" of X-Men: Days of Future Past, X-Men Apocalypse, X-Men: The Dark Phoenix, Deadpool (2016), the "Super Duper Cut" of Deadpool 2, The New Mutants, Logan, and then Deadpool & Wolverine (when it releases). This is the best watch-order in terms of story and continuity without getting confused.

      X-Men (2000)

      X2: X-Men United

      X-Men: The Last Stand

The “Extended Cut” of The Wolverine

The “Rogue Cut” of X-Men: Days of Future Past

      X-Men Apocalypse

      X-Men: The Dark Phoenix

      Deadpool (2016)

And then Deadpool & Wolverine (when it releases)

It's not X-Men but there was a REALLY good Spider-Man CG animated series in 2003 that you guys should DEFINITELY check out! The complete series should be on Disney Plus!

This show is by far the most faithful adaptation to ANY X-Men comic out there!... I don't remember the OG cartoon very much, but literally any movie or show that came after IS NOT a very faithful adaptation. It will kind of tell you about important events that happen, and introduce you to important characters, BUT they are not how it happened in the comics ESPECIALLY the original movie trilogy. The director wanted to make it edgy and dark and wasn't even a fan of the comics from what I heard. So, it's a good time, just don't expect that knowledge to carry over anywhere.

    ...

If anything "First Class" and "Days of Future Past" are fun to watch for Magneto lore and Quicksilver scenes alone, but it's still not a faithful adaptation.  Such is the curse of being an X-Men fan.

Welp! They just went back in time and met Mutant Darkseid a.k.a Apocalypse!

So just a little context here, like the other comments were saying the two figures on the boat were quicksilver and scarlet witch, but unlike now, where their origin has since been retconned, they were originally magneto's biological children, it wasn't until they were introduced in the mcu, in avengers age of ultron, that that changed because they didn't have the rights to the x-men, and therefore couldn't call them mutants. But because that was their origin for a long time, a lot of the x-men media you may or may not watch, will have them as his children. The only biological child he still has left is polaris, who is the other figure on the boat in green, but magneto still considers quicksilver and scarlet witch to be his children, he's just more like an honorary father, instead.

You need to watch both Daredevil, X-men Evolution, and Spectacular Spider-man!

If you want more x-men, the original animated series would be the place to start. Same characters, same timeline and history.

  20. Katie

you should definitely start with the first x men movie

So to explain the other figures on the boat were indeed Quicksilver and The Scarlet Witch as well as Polaris who is Magneto's actual biological daughter while En Sabah Nur is the real name of the villain Apocalypse who the X-Men have fought many times by this point in the series timeline.

I would watch the X-Men movies in release order, there is a timeline but it’s so messy and doesn’t make sense anyway so release order is a better way to watch.
