I don't know what Erik wants, Anakin's literally laser focused, of course he'd be able to do all that in the bar lmao

I really don’t get the angry comments about the Force. Just let them have fun, which they have been every episode. It’s clear they enjoy the show and are very invested, they just like to poke fun. There’s no harm in that. This is my favorite series for them to watch BECAUSE of their commentary when they get invested.

The Force has never been consistent over the books, games, different shows, and movies. And that’s okay. It’s still a legendary franchise with deep lore and fantastic characters. Lore consistency is impossible with the dozens of authors, directors, and creative teams that have handled the same universe.

I get where you’re coming from, and I actually agree to an extent. The Force has never been 100% consistent, and it’s fine to have fun with it. But at the same time,  THEY the ones constantly asking “WhY dOn’T tHeY uSe ThE FoRcE” every ep. Then, when someone explains, they struggle to take it in and just clown on the fans instead. Ruff literally did a mocking voice making fun of a fan’s explanation  WHILE Obi Wan was getting shot. It ruined what could’ve been a good reaction moment. That kind of stuff takes away from the experience for viewers who are genuinely invested.

At the end of the day, this is their business. A little constructive criticism from the audience shouldn't be a big deal, no one’s wishing them harm, we’re just pointing out when they’re being a bit silly n dismissive. It’s about helping the content improve, not tearing them down.

Something that's never made clear in the movies and shows about using force is that there are two ways to do it. To use the light, you have to concentrate and essentially ask the force to aid you. It's a give-and-take. When you use the dark side, you are bending the force to your will through the raw power of your darker emotions.

    TLDR:

The Light is a plea to the universe for help. The Dark is a command for the universe to bend to your will.

The way I always saw it, they said during Episode II that the Jedi Order was dealing with weakening force powers, so between that and the idea that it might not be first instinct to concentrate enough to use the force in some situations, like if it were a matter of fight or flight. If the Jedi were as strong as they were in the Old Republic days, they'd be dunking on the Separatists. Only a very small few Jedi in the years around the Clone Wars had the gift of foresight and pretty much none of them had force healing by this point, otherwise the Padme and Anakin issue would not have even mattered. So I think between weaker force powers and instinct, I can see why using the force may not be the go-to in most situations, but sometimes it certainly is just PlotTM

And Anakin is both the "Chosen One" and he was PISSED, of course he was having no trouble using the force. XD

You guys do not get the force at all. When you’re freaking out about how your best friend just got shot, it makes it hard to use the force. When you’re calmly walking into a building it’s easier to use the force. How is it hard to understand?

lol the force is absolutely just when the plot and writers think about it for sure, but each time Eric points something out, it’s exactly time when concentration and purpose makes perfect sense. As well with dark side vs light.

They’re right, but also wrong it’s so funny. This stuff is why I watch these guys

How do you not see Obi-Wan planning all this and tricking them? You’re as gullible as all the characters he played in this.

And I don’t really get how using the bar scene with Anakin is supposed to “debunk” the explanation about why Jedi don’t use the Force all the time. Anakin is way more powerful in the Force than most Jedi, he’s dealing with two slow pigs with axes, not a Sith Lord or an army of battle droids. And he’s not in the middle of a chaotic battlefield, he’s in a bar. No blaster fire, no pressure, no real threat. Of course he can focus. That scene isn’t a contradiction to what ppl been telling yall. He didn't even do nun crazy either he just force pushed em.

Eric always cracks me up. He always gets frustrated and confused by like the most basic shi that just takes the smallest amount of common sense to comprehend. Like they're on some shady backwater swamp planet no shlt nobody cares about 3 guys in orange jumpsuits lmao.

Also no offence but the stuff at the start where Ruff did the lil voice and made fun of the ppl explaining the force in the comments...Dawg, yall the ones who keep asking "WeLl wHy doNt THey jUst uSe the foRce?" How you gonna get annoyed at viewers answering questions YOU asked.

He did it with the Rex Family/Cliff scene in JP2 not that long ago too, just fixated on one thing that literally wasn't an issue and involved a man working his ass off to save not even his friends but just some coworkers he's known for a couple days and the entire scene was buried under him complaining about it. I actually hate that scene because of how mean-spirited it is towards that character and he's just there like "fuck you for trying your damnedest in THE worst case scenario" the entire time. actually stopped watching that reaction cause of that, skipped through a good chunk of this one for the same reason.

It's because they think the explanations are dumb or don't make sense. Which I have to agree with them. The explanations have terrible logic

Asking why don’t they just use the force is like asking why you didn’t just perfectly throw the trash into the bin from across the room. You have the power to do that so why don’t you get it perfectly every time?

How is Jedi needing to focus dumb logic? That shi go all the way back to the original trilogy with Yoda telling Luke he needs to concentrate to lift his ship outta the water. It's not like all the other geek star wars lore where ya have to read some comic from 40 yrs ago.
