That's pretty much it. The jedi don't actually want to be soldiers or warriors but have been pushed in front as the main generals/soldiers for the war. Makes them the perfect scapegoat for Palpatine.
To be honest. The only thing that comes to mind for me when it comes to an IP that has close to as many spinoffs would be Transformers. You have Generation 1 back in 1984, along with the marvel comics.
Generation 2 along with the dreamwave comics and headmasters.
Beast Wars and Beast Machines.
The Unicron Trilogy of TV shows in Energon, Armada, and Cybertron.
Transformers Animated.
The live action movies and video games using that IP.
The alligned continuity with the Cybertron games, and the TV shows Transformers Prime and Robots in disguise.
The IDW comics for Transformers.
The TV show Transformers Cyberverse.
The three season War for Cybertron series on Netflix.
And most recently, Transformers One, as well as the new skybound comics for Transformers.
big palp is the greatest puppetmaster using the jedi as war figures instead of negotiators like they used to be
Oh man you guys mentioning the Ewok movies make me happy. You guys should watch them
I agree, the Jedi shouldn't have become Generals in the war, it was another step leading to the downfall of the Jedi. They were peace keepers, like someone said we did see them neutral at first in phantom menace. Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan were sent as negotiators with the trade federation and the taboo but then the trade federation attacked them. The Jedi lost their way and strayed from their path. They are still the good guys but things changed them, the war/making them generals, the darkside which blinded lots of them to things, they got too close to political affairs/they became political
It's all fun and games until the trees start speaking Umbaran
This episode makes me realize how much I love 3PO and how much of a great character he is. Definitely better than any other droid.
All the Droid talk, I can't wait until you check out Rebels. You'll fall in love with the droid from that show. He's the best.
Master Adi Gallia is a pretty good duelist. This is her second or third encounter with Greivous that she survives, most Jedi who isn't a main character don't survive one encounter with him.
I'd say Marvel and DC would probably be bigger than Star Wars, if you don't just count the MCU, they have a huge amount of shows, books, games, etc. I think the Star Wars IP probably has about an equal number of spinoffs to the Pokemon IP if you equate shows to games, they have a relatively even amount of movies, books, manga/comics, and stuff like that
Frog lady, would.
Yesss 2 to 3 more episodes for you to meet "the general" that's all ima say
SPACE VIETNAM BABY!!!!!!!! LETS GOOOO
Next week we get Peak
Umbara arc up next
We went through the mid and bellow average. Now it's about to pick up real fast.
oh ya'll want VILLAINS?????? Ya'll aint ready for the rest of this season then
So Eric is dead on here. His point is the entire underlying point. The Jedi are supposed to be peace Keepers like they were before and durring Episode 1 where they were sent as negotiators.
But by the end of that movie. The Sith control both sides Palpatine is the Supreme Cancellor of the republic so that side the side the jedi are on are controlled by the Sith.
AND the separatists are ALSO controlled by the Sith as Palpatine controls them through orders to his apprentice Dooku.
So the only correct thing for a Jedi to do would.be to stay neutral and protect people in small scale on both sides but instead they have been corrupted into committing acts of war for one side by the Siths Manipulations.
You have to remember, in Phantom Menace, Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon were sent as negotiators on behalf of the Republic. They were sent to try to keep the peace. The Separatists attacked them and attacked Naboo. They didn't go into it ready for a war but Palpatine already had war ready to go. The reason they seem like bad generals is because they were never prepared or ready to be generals. It's probably also something Palpatine pushed for because he knew they would be bad at it
Also, the reason why it all started on Naboo is, because before he was elected chancellor Palpatine was the senator of Naboo.
To answer who the best droid is, just wait till u get to Rebels. They got a droid that rivals R2 honestly
If R2 is the Main Character, then "He" is definitely the Antagonist or edgy Rival😂
Yep he's my fav droid in the entire (SW) galaxy lol
Was hoping for four episodes since there were none last week
Next week we're going to Vietnam
These episodes are great and all, but the next arc is literally peak. Space Vietnam baby!
By the way, in a comic, Wolffe lost his eye to Scalpatine on Coruscant
It was a frost planet
FINALLY! UMBARA IS NEXT WEEK
For the most part the sith have always been against the republic for their own empires so the jedi stand with the republic
Also fun fact the clone commander wolffes eye was slashed out by scalpatine in a comic I believe
The umbara arc is next!
All I'm gonna say is Im going nut wait for the next arc 😅
*nuts
**to nut
