I think the major hangup with the "SortaStupid thinks all Jedi are Evil" discourse is that most people fail to recognize the situation with nuance.

Obviously they aren't say "All Jedi Suck and Are Inherently Evil". They are saying that the Jedi Council, as presented in the scope of the Prequels, stand as an incredibly corrupt entity. They're so far up there own ass that they end up shooting themselves in the foot, time and time again.

There not always bad people but their ego and their delusion that they had matters under control when they had already slipped so far into darkness is what their problem is.

So it makes sense that those who watch Star Wars with such a blanket black-and-white view of good and evil would more likely view the council in a favorable light. As that's where they entire religious philosophy had basically shifted: Jedi are 100% altruistic good guys who follow the rules every time and anyone who doesn't has fallen or are sith.

If I remember correctly wasn't this mandalorian pacificist culture formed because the republic came in and forced the warrior mandalorians to stand down in favor of the pacifists.

I think Yoda realized when the Clone War began it was probably Too Late and there only hope was depending on finding and killing the Sith. I feel like Yoda kinda realizes no one will really win at this point . Yoda wasnt ready for 66 to happen where they all would die at same time. I do however feel like people who blame the jedi need look at the republic cause jedi dead it still isnt fixed by the end of Lukes time.

Sam Witwer did an amazing job playing Maul and making him an iconic character in the Star Wars universe. And I love how we get to see how well Palpatine trained him, not only in combat but politics and what resources are valuable and which are not worth the effort. He became a mastermind, and I love it

Glad you guys are enjoying the gas. The end of this arc and the following arc are also top tier.

Fun fact, the next 4 episodes arc was meant to be the ending of clone wars. They came back with more episodes the next year since they had prepared episodes far enough into production to throw up like 12 episodes as season 6. Unfortunately, Disney cancelled the production of clone wars when they acquired the franchise.

They also then made a 12 episode season with season 7 5 years after the cancelation of the show. Somehow in those 24~ episodes, there are two arcs on the level of the droid arc. An arc of 2 episodes and an arc of 4. Thankfully, the rest of the following episodes range from 'Good' to 'The best that star wars has offered in years/movie quality level'

Flamethrowers aren't a waste. The whole reason the Mandalorians started using them was because during the Mandalorian and Jedi war, they found they were the best weapon to use against someone with a lightsaber as they couldn't be blocked unlike standard firearms.

People complaining you guys complain toi much about the Jedi clearly misunderstood the prequel trilogy. It's 3 full movies of in depth examples of how the Jedi were failing their own goals and standards in order to pursue dogma

Notice how during the duel between Maul and Visla, while Visla was using every weapon he had in order to stay in the fight, Maul didn't even use the force. Even when Visla shot Maul's lightsaber out of his hand, Maul just beat the crap out of Visla with his hands and metal legs. Maul beat Visla with pure skill.

Maul only used the force after the fight was over, and it was to claim the Darksaber he earned in this fight.

I think that is one of the reasons why most of Vizla’s men bent the knee. So much of their culture revolves around strength and pride, but it is mainly with their own not outsiders who earn that right because of course the Jedi and sith are more powerful by nature but the Mandolorians were powerful without the force. Despite a couple exceptions, the Mandolorians haven’t been particularly strong in the force. Despite that they were ancient enemies of the Jedi and or sith, their armor instincts and skill in combat

People who think the Jedi can't be criticized probably haven’t paid close attention to who they really are as an organization. Over time, they’ve let arrogance and ignorance creep in, and have turned into political tools for the Senate. Without a real enemy like the Sith for so long, they’ve started to believe they’re unbeatable simply because of their power. That mindset has built up a serious ego within the Order, especially among the High Council, including Yoda and Mace Windu. That doesn’t mean they’re bad people. Yoda is wise and respected, and the vast majority of people (in Star Wars and in our real world alike) love him. But some of the major decisions he’s made in the series are questionable, and that’s largely because he, like many others, has fallen into the trap of ego and pride. This is also why, in their arrogance, they joined the war and didn't actually sit down to discuss whether it was right for them to fight in the first place.

Bo katan, the red head mandalorian girl who rebelled from maul, you saw her before, she was the one who smacked ahsokas ass, not really the most relevant moment to her character but everyone brings that up, anyways keep an eye on her shes very important for other arcs

No people hating on you for disliking the Jedi are weird. During this time the corruption of the senate has affected the Jedi Order to the point the Jedi play politics rather than helping those that need them. Season 6 it'll show just how far the Jedi Order has fallen

Flamethrowers are supposed to be good against force users because it can't be blocked with a lightsaber. Pre just didn't aim down for some reason.

The Jedi can block flamethrower streams with the force, but the flames also emit heat and are bright enough to mess with their other senses. (They can't see in front of them, the heat and brightness of the fire messes with their eyes, the roar of the flamethrower is loud enough to mess with their hearing.)
