Imma give a hot take here, I actually really like the droid arc! I thought it was a fun adventure where we got to focus on droids in a show where they usually take a back seat to most other characters. Not to mention Captain Gregor, the goat. This is also coming from someone who has always loved droids in Star Wars (R2 is literally my favorite character in the entire franchise), so I get that some people find it to be boring. And yes, it’s not nearly as good as a lot of other arcs in the show, but personally, I had a lot of fun watching this arc, and still do! But yes, literally everything from here on out in the show is peak imo.

Can we just take a minute to appreciate how insane Hondo's track record of things he got away with in the Clone Wars is?

First, he kidnaps Count Dooku, and soon after, he gets Anakin and Obi-Wan too. And he manages to hold the three of them prisoner, and stop two escape attempts from the three force users.

Next time we see him, he and his pirates go against three Jedi, and four Bounty Hunters, and manage to kill one of the Bounty Hunters before being forced to retreat after Hondo got nearly thrown off a cliff in a 1v1 with Anakin.

After that, he chooses to not get involved with Aura Sing's plan to lure Mace Windu out to kill him, because he's smart enough to know not to mess with Jedi Masters, let alone the second best Jedi in the Order. (Even though Plo Koon and Ahsoka showed up instead, his mind was still in the right place.)

Then we see him deliver rocket launchers for the battle of Onderon when Anakin pays him.

Then he manages to nearly steal a bunch of kyber crystals from younglings, before getting Ahsoka as a prisoner.

Then he and his men get invaded by Grievous and manage to put up a fight before Hondo makes Grievous look like a b**ch.

And now here he is, fighting against Savage and Maul, AND WINNING! The man shot off Maul's Leg and one of his pirates almost killed the two brothers.

Hondo and his pirates are nuts, in the best way possible. They're like Jack Sparrow and his crew of the Black Pearl, but in space.

Literally one of the most beautifully executed explosions in Star Wars....the colours, the debris, the audio, the impact. 10/10

Adi Gallia was the name of the Jedi that was killed by Savage. She was in a couple previous episodes, but not too many speaking lines or too much noteworthy feats in the show.

The Supreme Chancellor is indeed elected.

At this point, his term limit has expired. The Senate passed an emergency measure to extend his term until the Clone War is over and the threat has passed.

And the Supreme Chancellor decides when the threat is over

Obi-Wan is in fact, INSANELY good. In the Revenge of the Sith novelization in a deleted scene between Mace Windu and Kenobi, Windu calls him THE master of Soresu, the defensive lightsaber fighting form. You'll notice in a lot of battles that Obi-Wan doesn't attack outright but instead waits for his opponent to come to him. He's the best the Jedi Order has ever seen at that form.

Smooth sailing for the next...I wanna say...8-10 weeks? Then only one arc that is eh, then back to smooth sailing.

When this arc aired years ago I remember Dave Filoni commenting that one of his staffers came to him about the complaints online and he said “well it’s too late now, they better buckle up it’s going to be a long month”

Imagine our collective fury that this FOUR episode arc just wouldn’t end for a month. This was an arc ordered by George Lucas and I can’t help but think he was trolling us…

Perhaps that is the real reason he said it was his favorite arc, lmao.

Yeah the droid arc is one of the weaker parts of the series. 4-parters should be reserved for a big story, not a goofy adventure. It just overstays its welcome, and would've done better as two episodes at most
