I agree, Sean should totally play ZA.
They are throwing out the DLC so quickly because they took a year off the original plan was for this game and dlc to have already been out a while ago, and the 30th anniversary is next year so the assumption is they don't want Z-A to distract from generation 10 next year
I definitely recommend playing X or Y before ZA. I feel like it made ZA’s story much more interesting for me
Honestly yeah, it's kinda like watching Avatar before you watch Korra. Like technically you CAN watch Korra on it's own, but having seen Avatar beforehand makes a very big difference
