I completely agree with you guys feeling burnt out on Ben 10, I’m not much of a fan of Alien Force/Ultimate Alien, at the very least, if you ultimately decide to drop it (Which I really hope doesn’t happen of course, but if it does), I hope you at least skip to Season 1 of Omniverse and give it a try, I had only seen Alien Force, Ultimate Alien, and the Original Series, and didn’t even think of giving Omniverse a try until recently, and I think (once you get past some questionable artstyle changes) that it holds up much better as a continuous series with more consistent writing/storytelling. Alien Force just varies so wildly quality wise between episodes.
Reason fools gold was written as a revenge story. The network was not letting the creators show the story they wanted so they wrote this as stop interfering or you’ll get shit episodes and the network can only blame themselves. I remember the time i had to convince my best friend that Gwen is played by the same girl that does Ellie in the last of us. When im playing it I always think its gwen saying “fuck” and “chicken shit”
“Are you afraid of commitment Ben?” It is now my head canon that Ben being an asshole this season is him committing self sabotage to get Julie to break up with him. Thank you Boom.
