Don't get me wrong I love the original series. But I actually like korra more. I believe korra gets way more hate than it deserves
Nah, I get it. Watching Korra live was a regular battle with the constant SW-fandom-like noise talking down on every single decision while it aired - but Korra is really, really great and only lacking as much as Avatar does at times. I kind of like them about equally, but I totally can see why someone might prefer either show. Korra is even more adult than Avatar, and the animation quality is just nuts at times. The entire first episode sets the tone nicely, imho, and while some story beats definitely might be a harder sell, I don't agree at all with it being worse or anything. Just more mostly great animation. Voice acting is out of this world too, my only regret is having it watched live with all the fans picking it apart, rather than binging it all at once.
Either way, Korra slaps.

Liking Korra more is.. interesting 😂 S3 Korra is one of my favs for sure tho between both series. S2 was just outright bad to me imo, S1 was a mixed bag. S4 was cool. It wasn't the creators fault though, they did what they could due to Nickelodeon's poor handling of green lighting seasons.
korra isn't as good as this but its not really the creators fault, the first season of korra is unanimously loved and that's all it was greenlit for, but after its success they got greenlit to make new episodes but where never told how many new episodes they would get so they just kept making korra and faced a ton of behind the scenes issues. it all just leads to korra feeling sloppy and inconsistent at times but its still a good show.
