If you recall, in the S2 episode where Azula recruits Ty Lee, after Azula mentions her recruitment offer to Ty Lee, Ty Lee rejects her offer. Azula then says she’s going to stay for Ty Lee’s performance. We can see that Ty Lee is noticeably distraught when Azula says this. During the performance, Azula has the safety net set on fire and all the animals released into the circus at once, noticeably worrying Ty Lee, who is up on the tightrope.
Later, Azula congratulates Ty Lee on her performance and says she can’t wait to see her performance the next night. Ty Lee calmly says, “Actually, there’s not gonna be another performance. The universe is giving me strong signs that it’s time for a career change. I’d like to join you on your mission.”
Mai’s thing isn’t as obvious since she doesn’t display her emotions as much, but, in the episode where Azula recruits Mai, Azula mentions how trading Mai’s little brother for King Bumi doesn’t seem like a fair trade. Then Mai almost imperceptibly glares at Azula for a moment before calling off the trade.
In short, Ty Lee and Mai’s betrayal has been foreshadowed from the very beginning.
The love changing field trips with Zuko continue. I so love how the story took time near the end just to flesh out his dynamics with the rest of the Gaang, while also still giving us story progression and worldbuilding
If we’re doing Zuko stickers you gotta get him with his multicolor fire. I wish Avatar had used it in the cartoon but it’s a manga thing, and very rare
I do love that as soon as Zuko gets some friends he gasses up his uncle also an cool fact is that when Azula Mai and Ty Lee are disguised as Kyoshi warriors and the earth king is talking about how his closest advisor Long Feng betrayed him Azula says “It’s terrible when you can’t trust the people who are closest to you” then Mai and Ty Lee give each other a side-eye which is a small foreshadow to this episodes double betrayal
I think they misinterpreted Sokka’s Dad for a waterbender. Which is understadable but a thing ppl tend to forget with avatar is that their are benders and non benders in ever nation.
I completely forgot that when Zuko was in the North Pole, Iroh told him to use his breath of fire to keep him warm and that’s how he’s not cold in the cooler
Having water benders in a prison surrounded by scalding hot water seems like the dumbest idea ever. Then again sokkas dad isn’t a water bender anyway
Sokka: “Zuko, are you there?”
*Zuko from the prison cell*
Zuko: “No, I’m in the fucking bar having a mojito. Are you kidding me?”
Love seeing Zuko’s breath of fire that Iroh taught him!!
it says episode 13 isnt this episode 14 or am i missing something lol

In which manga can I see Zuko’s multicolor fire? I never heard of this. (I haven’t read all avatar comics yet)

Oooh! I didn’t know we got more avatar yesterday what a treat!
Also, that’s rough buddy.
I doubt they would put waterbenders anywhere near that prison at all

Suki and sokkas dad aren’t benders they’re just warriors
Skinny and sokkas dad aren’t benders they’re just warriors
That’s rough buddy

Love how this shows how dangerous non benders can be. not only was the record broken but 3 out of the 5 were non benders who broke it.
I have a sticker of “that’s rough buddy” on my laptop lmao
wasn’t expecting this HOLY SHIT!
