The lich is a being that has never been alive, so when he was forced into life he started at the beginning. As a baby.

Martin is his dad, because he has the last name Mertins. Which is the same last name as alternate Finns family

Just saying guys.... i don't think Billy himself would Lie to Finn about who his biological Dad is. And taking into account that the name of Finn's father in the Farmworld reality was "Martin Mertens" then i think that pretty much confirms that this Martin is indeed Finn's dad.

Also talking about "The Tower" which is one of my favorite episodes, there is a lot to be discussed in it, as a first subject... it is Theorized that the Telekinetic arm is a byproduct of the Guardian's blood, and it only showed up due to Finn trying to find inner peace, and once he achieved it the arm disappeared for good.
another subject is his shadow when he comes down, i think that his shadow having both arms when in reality he doesn't symbolizes that his mind has completely processed the fact that he is disabled now, the shadow is a representation of him feelong normal once again.
there are other subjects as well... such as the Tower itself or PB's intervention, but if i keep breaking them down this comment will be too long.

Reminder that death already exists in Adventure. He's the white suit skull guy that hangs with Peppermint butler. Lich is the personification of Entropy not just the death of all life but just like he says, he is literally the end of all. His mission quite literally is to make everything stop.

These episodes introduce one of my favorite dynamics, where PB and Jake both look out for and want what's best for Finn and openly discuss what he needs. It's like the older siblings who have to raise the younger ones

The Lich is the personification of the End. End of all things. That his goal. To extinguish all life. It isn't to rule over anything. Literally just choas and death.

Season 6 is great but it does have some notable problems... for one this season contains some of the worst episodes of the show, like "Sad Face" or "Chips and Ice Cream". it also has the flaw of being the first Season being completly directed by Adam Muto which could explain why the whole season feels a lot more "Philosophical" than the rest of the series and as a result of that a good chunk of the episodes feel kinda boring or have really slow pacing.
this is obviously no longer a problem in later seasons but i think those are the main reason why some people argue that Season 6 is the Worst Season even thou i don't agree with said statement

Fun fact: Martin is voiced by Stephen Root who was also the voice for Mayor Toadstool in Amphibia + Bud Gleeful (Gideon's dad) in Gravity Falls.

Distant Lands is a series of 4 Specials that take place after the Adventure time timeline (minus one that is a prequel) and then the Fionna and Cake series takes place after Distant Lands(again minus one that is the actual finale timeline wise). Also fun fact! Fionna and Cake was going to a Distant Lands episode instead of a whole series but they ended up giving it a full season of its own!

i think you guys missed tree trunks almost saying she wanted a divorce LOL but now they have baby lich so theres that.
also i personally was always very excited for fionna and cake, ever since the initial announcement (when there was no trailer or anything, just a promotional image). the trailer made me even more excited because i really had no expectations going in, and then watching it was amazing. i think you guys will definitely enjoy it, it was a lot of fun.

Not exaggerating when I say Adventure time is the one piece of cartoons with how much world building and lore there is.
..And the fact it still won't end after 13 years.

The Tower undoubtedly shows both the affection that PB has for Finn (treating him almost like a brother) as well as how little by little his painful experiences consumed Finn, it is clear that Finn is not better off Cof Cof *Breezy, but that help from PB and that PUNCH he gave her helped without a doubt :)

Rewatching the series, she has a messed up way of showing that if she thinks of him as a brother.

she is a complicated character who has been hardened over thousands of years. she softens later on and so does her relationship with finn, he is no longer just her knight, they are friends on equal levels.

Yassss the moment I'm sure we've all been waiting for. The closer we got and the more they brought up the arm the more excited I got
