Love that this is one of the movies that opened up the discussion of civilian death in super hero movies.
This movie made me love hawkeye and wanda. Also yeah you don't need to worry about canon shows until after endgame. Agents of shield however you can start whenever. The first 2 seasons follow canon up until Infinity war and then they veer off cause that movie made it impossible to coincide with one another, but it's a great watch regardless. Especially if you love Coulson and the mutant and alien side of marvel.
I love how much they gave Hawkeye in this movie and I feel bad for Bruce the most like due can't catch a break no one can. Ya'll would love Agents of Shield omg it explains everything its the most well written and fun marvel show

The only canon shows are the Netflix and Disney+ originals. The ABC, Freeform and Hulu shows used to be canon but were branded non canon after Disney+ was launched.
Don’t worry about any of the shows until Phase 4.
Agents of SHIELD is largely ignored canon-wise by the film side of the MCU (Kevin Feige and the producer of AoS HATE each other) so you DO NOT need to bother with that.
WandaVision is the first MCU show you can start with once you finish Phase 3.
I refute that, Agents a shield is a super fun watch, they should definitely watch it sometime.
The comics have since retconned it, but yes, Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch were Magneto's children. Honestly, that was one of my biggest problems with this movie, making two Jewish kids willing participants in Nazi experiments was a WILD choice, but so was erasing the Jewish heritage. The comics retconned them to Romani, which again, wild choice to have them be willing participants in Nazi experiments.
Side note now that I've finished the video, you can 100% skip Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and Agent Carter. They are fun (for the most part) and loosely tie in to the movies, but I would recommend watching the Disney+ shows because they are canon and are important to the overall story. Even if you don't react to them, I still recommend watching them.
as a comic ultra fan, I have some problems with this adaptation of him (I like him as a hank creation far more then a Tony one, sue me) but my biggest problem is probably the design. while he looks fine, there are some core aspects of the comic design (specifically the always open glowing mouth and the slanted eyes) that I just love to such a degree that missing it is disappointing. they were so close with the broken stark bot design, just use that as a base and build on it and the design would have been perfect
The Disney+ shows all take place in the main MCU, and tie in to the movies. Like what you saw with DP&W. I’d say don’t skip any of the Disney + shows. You will wish you skipped Secret Invasion, but I would be curious to get your thoughts about it.
I’d say Agents of Shield is not a “must watch” right now. The “Netflix” shows are now cannon to the MCU and pretty popular, or at least some of them are. I’d say definitely watch Daredevil, Jessica Jones, & The Punisher.
If you guys want to rewatch the Deadpool movies, then it would be awesome if you just watched all the Fox X-Verse movies in release order, eventually you will get back around to Deadpool and understand even more references better.
I think others have mentioned that it is a good idea to watch the Tobey & Andrew Spider-Man movies and probably the Venom movies, at some point prior to Phase 4

The thing with Thor's hammer is its made of a substance called uru, and in the MCU is metal made from the heart of a dwarf star. It is also enchanted. Basically, it can manipulate its own weight. When Thor swings it, it weighs less, when he hits, it weighs more. That's also how Thor flies. And when it comes to lifting it, it basically implies a downard weight equal to the force lifting it, unless you are worthy. Which means, that if you are as strong as the Hulk, and try to life it, it applies the same force in the opposiste direction. If you are a normal joe, it applies the same force.
James Spader was in a motion capture suit on set acting beside everyone else. When Erik talked about his mannerisms, that was actually James Spader moving, same way Mark Ruffalo does the mo-cap for Hulk. It was cool that they had Andy Serkis in the cast, since he is considered one of the pioneers of motion capture acting with his work in LOTR.
There are literally no shows you guys need to watch AT ALL till after the Phase 3 movies are completely over...they put them in chronological order based on when in the canon all of this happened but the older shows specifically that got adopted into the MCU literally have nothing at all to do with it, it's just the same universe. Agents of Shield is definitely a skip. The Daredevil seasons are great but not good enough to sit through before you at least get through Endgame first.
If you have to prioritize the Disney+ MCU shows, I'd do so in the following order:
1) Loki
2) Wanda Vision
3) Hawkeye
4) Moon Knight
5) Daredevil Born Again
6) Ms. Marvel
7) Falcon & the Winter Soldier
8) She Hulk: Attorney at Law (gets a lot of hate, but really fun)
9) Agatha (only this low because I've not seen it)

Seriously, they should just watch it in release order. That’s the best order to watch it in.
But none of them before Phase 3 movies are finished...none of them are relevant or will even make alot of sense if you watch them before Endgame, they're actually pretty spoilery.
Only thing I would swap is Loki and WandaVision, but otherwise, good. Maybe aslo bump FATWS up a few?
I love Agents of Shield but it's not canon and so it doesn't have any value towards the main MCU.
Skip Agents of Shield, watch the Netflix Daredevil and Jessica Jones seasons, and the MCU TV shows excluding What If in terms of canon.

I say Check out Daredevil because it’s the fan favorite of the Netflix era at anytime before starting phase 4. Jessica Jones is fun as well because it leads to The Defenders mini series. The other shows like Luke Cage & Iron Fist isn’t as good and I’m certain people would want you to skip it. Highly recommend watching the older Spider-Man movies, The Venom films, X-Men movies, Blade, Fantastic Four (2005), & of course the rewatch of the three Deadpool’s at some point in the future. Agents of Shield while a great show is long and unfortunately isn’t viewed as “canon” to the MCU whereas Daredevil is.
To be clear, you need to watch ALL of the MCU shows. They are just as important as the movies. DO NOT SKIP
Any tv show pre phase 4 is pretty much not important except daredevil but pretty much every disney plus series is basically mandatory viewing for a lot of the movies post phase 3

Don't bother with Agents of Shield. It's a good show, but stops being apart of the MCU after season 3 I think.

Tony Stark in comics like Batman builds tech for the Avengers in case they go on opposite sides as you seen of the Hulkbustster. He has suites for asguardians, atlanteans (Marvel's version), Cosmic-Powered heroes like Fantastic 4 and Silver Surfer and Mutants. He doesn't win all the time but he sure likes to prepare for the worst as you seen.
People rave about Loki (and it's good!) but WandaVision is the best in my eyes. Heavily, heavily recommend.
Hawkeye is great, though I've had the impression people's opinions on it have been mixed.
I love Agents of Shield, but the quality is, ahem, *mixed* in later seasons. Season 1 and 2, particularly 1, run alongside the movies, up to, I believe, Ultron. Then executive differences resulted in Marvel Tv shows spinning off into their own thing without regard for the movies at all. Heavily recommend both season 1 and 2, but yeah, those are full length seasons, so it's a commitment. Seeing a reaction to just the first episode would be great fun though.
Save yourselves and never watch Secret Invasion.

I gotta say this in every video until I see it, but you MUST MUST MUST watch Tobey Macguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spiderman movies before the end of Phase 3. Like throw them in between Phase 2 and 3 as a break from Marvel

The WIdow and Banner "romance" was pretty poorly received by mostly everyone at the time. In my opinion, I thought it came out of nowhere and that they had no chemistry, so I was definitely on that side.
Like for DC y'all just haven't seen much content involving them kill or y'all forgot a few from what y'all have seen (no surprise) lol. But they like I said have different rules or own codes independently. Batman just a strict no-killing for being better and it's not justice in his way though he has occasionally nearly broken it, Superman doesn't mind killing but he doesn't do it because it's not his choice and he leaves it under the justice system/authority, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash don't pissed them off or get too personal, Flash (Barry Allen) even supports the death penalty. The Green Lanterns are like cops. Not suppose to unless authorized to use lethal force against threat too big. They can lose their ring from the Guardians if they go Lethal in wrong way.
Plus just like DC heroes send villains to Arkham Asylum, Blackgate, Phantom Zone, OA, Iron Heights or Stryker's Island, Marvel heroes send villains to The Raft, Rhyker's Island, Ravencroft, SHEILD Penitentiary, The Cube or the Negative Zone.
Okay for all the "HOLY HE TOTALLY KILLED THAT MAN" Everyone does not have the same set of rules for no killing. Same for DC. Obviously when it comes to terrorist and not just your typical bad guy who may be an A-S tier threat, some heroes will not hesitate in eliminating a threat permanently. Like you seen of movies where Captain America and Thor have taken our sentient beings, characters like Aquaman or Wonder Woman will do the same in their missions or independent lives.
Hawkeye show is my favorite MCU show. I hope you react to that at least

Agents of shield is a spin off thats not needed to watch. Its a good show but if you just wanna see the MCU until Endgame you can stick to the movies and have a full package. The shows start to become relevant with WandaVision.

watching it back, Age of Ultron is much better than I thought it was. I remember finding it really boring when it first came out for some reason.

Still makes me slightly nervous that they might want to do it before reaching Endgame. Not saying they're dumb, but the more they talk about watching certain things earlier than they should, it makes me nervous lol.
None of the Disney shows can be watched before the end of Phase 3 without spoilers...with the exception of maybe MoonKnight.
