Dang, I regret refreshing the page. I enjoy the behind-the-scenes stuff. I was in the middle of the changeover to netflix when I refreshed, and then that changeover was gone.
Man I miss watching this cartoon! Kind of with Spongebob I fell out of this since it’s been out for so long…and the animation started changing and imo looked cheaper, stiff and less fluid. But I love it’s comedic points, Cosmo’s especially.
Little quirky trivia about this show:
1) Fairly OddParents started as a series of seven-minute shorts on “Oh Yeah! Cartoons.” Not required viewing or anything (It’s debatable if the shorts are even canon,) but it’s another case where the first episode of a series isn’t necessarily the “pilot.”
2) Nickelodeon seemed to have VERY little faith in this series at first. It was greenlit for a meager six episodes and they were quick to sell off the international rights to Nelvana (which is why you can find most of the series for free on YouTube if you’re NOT in America.) The only chance this show had to garner its outrageous success was airing RIGHT NEXT to “Invader Zim.”
I think Boom mentioned in another vid that he watches American Dad. Cosmo and Timmy’s Dad voice (Daran Norris) also does Jack Smith (Stan’s dad). He’s also the janitor in Ned’s Declassified.f
I hope you all react to the Fairly OddParents shorts from Oh Yeah! Cartoons. They were the original episodes that greenlit the series. It shows how Timmy got Cosmo and Wanda. ^^
Also I hope you all react to Jimmy Neutron as well
I was just thinking to myself when I watched your reaction to Danny Phantom that y’all should watch SOME of the Fairly Odd Parents (trust me, the whole series is not worth it lol) Another cool Nick show to see you guys react to would be Jimmy Neutron, it’s still hilarious to this day
Fairly Oddparents is the kind of show that you don’t really get invested in until you watch some of the specials. Those are where the more memorable (non-meme) parts of this show stand out, cause they don’t do much world-building outside of that.
I’m interested to see how long they last with this series. The latter half of the series is is considered terrible.
I wouldn’t mind them stopping at the poof special.
