From what I’ve heard is that Vivzie has stated that Helluva Boss and Helluva Boss can’t crossover because of licensing/ownership. I’ve also heard that there were talks of Netflix picking up Helluva Boss at one point, but that it fell through. The last one I’d take with a grain of salt, as I’ve not heard it as consistently.
That aside, I loved this episode, but I protest the fact that it was released this close to Thanksgiving and there were two birds (Andrelphus and Stella) ripe for roasting and they got away scott clean.
I'm not surprised Striker did what he did. He had more loathing for Blitz and Fizzarolli being Imps like him that were banging "royalty" than he did the actual royalty themselves. He also seems like the type of imp that'd be glad to get Blitz out of the way if it meant he wasn't found out as the assassin targeting Stolas through Stella's orders. Self preservation can make many do the "enemy of my enemy is my friend" tactic.
I'm really annoyed on how this episode played out. I was really hoping that stella would get found out somehow in the end. Plus it doesn't make sense that striker would throw blitz under bus when his entire character is his hatred towards demon royalty. An interesting change for the characters that stolas lost his power, but there were so many more logical ways this could have played out.
The thing with Striker is that he *says* all those things about how royals are these terrible things, and shames Blitzø for working for/being with Stolas, yet he accepts a job from a royal to assassinate Stolas, then to catch and kill him (during which Stella tells him NOT to kill Stolas for more *money*, and he listens to her, despite having the chance to kill a royal), then here he works for Andrealphus to get Blitzø killed (though tbf we don't know if he really had a choice, or if the other option was death).
Point is, Striker has a lot of ego, and he likes to say all these things about the royals, and he probably believe himself too, but actions speak louder than words. It doesn't make sense for him to go against his own "ideals," but it's part of his character, so it does make sense for him in a storytelling sense. At least, that's how I interpret it.
Also Striker absolutely hates Blitzø and there's no way he wouldn't have accepted no matter whether he was given a choice or not. His hate for Blitzø is greate than his hate for the royals.
i agree Stolas knew Stella was the one who hired Striker, he told him himself. But i don't think him framing Blitz is out of character, since he's already said he's tired of losing to Blitz & i doubt hed pass up an opportunity to see him lose everything
