  1. Yeah, as someone who’s whole childhood was nothing but praise and martyrdom worship, I hate it. Especially when my dad still thinks Christians are being persecuted in America. Religious trauma is *fun*/s

  2. Also as far as the whole talking gorilla thing that is sort of a weird trope in DC comics for some reason. As there are multiple different gorilla characters in the DC universe including Grodd, Mallah, Ultra-Humanite, Titano, Solovar, etc. there is even an entire hidden civilization of gorillas called “Gorilla City” located somewhere in Africa in the DC universe.

  3. Doom Patrol is great you should definitely check it out at some point. Robotman is in fact played by Brendan Fraser and was essentially his return to acting.

  4. You can’t kill villains in comics. Think about Slade, he fell in lava and came back from a demon. If you shoot the Joker, he either survives, becomes a demon, zombie, or anything else to come back,

  5. season 5 isnt considered the best but i really enjoy it. hope after titans is done you guys replace it with young justice or ben 10 ultimate alien

  6. as a massive doom patrol fan, it is wild seeing them so competent. after grant Morrison reinvented the team they became a more disfunctional found family team of broken people. Its honestly really cool that this show decided for a pre-morrison version of the team.

  7. also being slightly maybe just a little tiny bit pedantic but thats just bc i’m a big teen titans nerd lmao; Rita was the OG elasti-girl bc she was created in the 1960s!

  8. The Brain was a highly intelligent scientist who worked with Niles Caulder a.k.a Chief (the leader of Doom Patrol, but he’s not in this version). He used to experiment on animals to see if he could raise their intelligence, which is how Monsieur Mallah was created. Monsieur Mallah is also his lover so let’s not think about the morality of that for too long.. Niles then became jealous of The Brain and basically got him blown up so he could put his brain into a robot body. His brain survives and is then rescued and put into a computer network that keeps him running and alive by Mallah. just in case any of y’all were curious abt his basic backstory

  9. Yeah whenever I rewatch this show, I always avoid these two episodes – I started forgetting as to why…but this reaction reminded me.  I’m glad y’all found it just as spiritually exhausting to watch the Doom Patrol be gigantic assholes for two whole episodes.  It feels laborious to sit through lol.  Glad it’s over though, cus now episode 4 is coming up which is one of my favorites 😭🙏🏼

  10. If I had a nickel for every time Mallah and Brain were trying to make a blackhole-esque portal… I would have 2 nickels. Starting to sense a pattern here.

    1. Yeah the Brain (not to be confused with the villain Braniac or the Hero Braniac V) and Monseuir Mallah (not to be confused with Gorilla Grodd, Sam Simion, King Solovar or Ultra Humanite)

  11. Of course, “Garfield Logan” was a perfectly ordinary name to give a young man in the 1960s, but now all I can think of when I hear it is an unholy fusion of the newspaper funny pages cat and the X-Men.

  12. If Im not mistaken, toy sales were the reason Young Justice got cancelled in the first place. They thought the girl character toys wouldn’t sell or their toys weren’t selling to begin with.

    1. We lose amazing shows like YJ and TT, but they’ll keep keep TTG and they’ll over play the shit out of it this is why CN is basically dead at this point.

      1. Yeah because teen titans will never appeal to Gen A like teen titans go, teen titans go has pure stupid goofy humor and that’s perfect for this sad generation that’s coming up

        1. TTG is almost 11 years old. a lot who grew up with it were late gen z. Same era as gravity falls and Steven universe mind you. The owl house and amphibia were also running during the pandemic. This is more of the fault of the industry than the consumer.

    1. The Doom Patrol are basically more toxic adult versions of the Teen Titans to an extent. Mento being toxic leadership opposed to Robin though we’ve seen Robin fall into this mentality. Robotman being cocky and reckless as all hell thinking he can handle everything with brute force to the point of always getting himself pseudo killed ( powered off ). Elastigirl is very mature and maternal but extremely complacent to the toxicity of her entire team. It’s like she’s the house wife where she just keeps quiet and let the men always take lead. Negativeman is … well negative but honestly he’s not as bad. He has the same vibe as Raven.
