This ep made the series great to legendary. If its not for kids the series would go full on dark and twisted. I still hope in some version it does.

I think whats most scary about bloodbending is revealed in the way Hama talks. "They're just flowers. When you're a waterbender in a strange land, you do what you must to survive." and "The rats that scurried across the floor of my cage were nothing more than skins filled with liquid." Bloodbending changed the way Hama looks at the world, it corrupted her. She views life and living beings merely as a means to an end.
Also regarding airbenders and a possibility to take the air out of another persons body, do you remember the scene in book one at the southern airtemple where Aang found monk Gyatso's skeleton surrounded by an army of firebender bodies? I don't know if its been ever officially confirmed by the creators, but for most people its headcanon that thats exactly what Gyatso did. He sucked the air out of the entire room and suffocated everyone including himself.

I know I'm late, but an eclipse is not a full moon so waterbenders do not get any boosts from those.

I know I'm several months late and it may have been explained already but you guys are right about air benders having the potential to control the air in living things to stop them breathing. In theory they are the scariest potential threats the only reason they never do is because they are peaceful nature loving monks who don't want to hurt other people

yall almost had something with the water bending rejuvenation, immortality is actually an earthbending technique where you meditate once a day and rearrange your cells to maintain the same state of your body for years or centuries, its how the guru could be friends with the air benders and possibly how boomie is still fit enough to fight at 112. you also may have missed it during the Kyoshi island episode in season 1 but they said Kyoshi was born there over 400 years ago, Roku died 112 years ago at about ~80 meaning Kyoshi died about 200 years ago placing her age at over 200 years old when she died.
