Beast Boy’s origins in the comics is that he caught an incurable and deadly disease. The only way to save him was for his scientist parents to transform him into a type of green monkey that is immune to the disease

"So that he wouldn't," is by FAR one of the best lines in the entire show from Batman, on top of being a heavily nuanced and politically-engaged episode, I love ep 22.

In the 2003 Teen titans show adjacent comics Beast Boy got bit by a monkey contracted a virus. To save him his parents gave him a ton of anti-venoms and they reacted with the r monkey bite allowing him to turn into animals, very different from this. The comics tell you a lot of missed info

I know a lot of people dislike it, but the idea of Superboy having half of Luthor's DNA is so appealing to me. Of course Lex, who is so obsessed with Superman, would only ever use his OWN DNA for his Superman clone.
Superman and Lex Luthor got Divorced and Superboy is their child. That's the energy of these three.
I'd love to see you guys check out My Adventures with Superman, it's pretty fun and Superboy will be featured in Season 3 (not released yet!)

Part of what upsets people is that it's a blatant retcon. Geoff Johns actually wrote Lex being the father as a fan theory when he was reading Superman comics. The original writer told him it wasn't Lex. And when Johns started working for DC he changed it to being Lex now that he was in charge.

YEAH no I get people being aggrivated bc it blantantly wasn't true in Superboy's origins, but I do just appreciate the interpretation more. It just makes more sense to me considering Lex's personality and everything.

Guy Gardener is usually a Bostonian jerk to everyone, pretty fast to get into fights and arguments, and would break the rules just to prove himself right.

Yes, they knew BeastBoy was named Garfield, but there can be more than one character/person named Garfield or Eric, etc. They just weren't sure because he wasnt a green skinned sharpshooter, my guy

In a prior episode, when Conner and M'gann were in class discussing Bialya, M'gann brought up White Martians and how they are minorities and mistreated. What M'gann is doing is, unfortunately, what a lot of self-loathing black children do, denying their identity.

I have no idea what cannon this show uses but in a lot of the versions of DC I know the green and white martians are at war and the white martians have basically wiped the green martians out. Martian Manhunter is in some versions is called the last green martian or he thinks he is the last one.

Also you guy's lack of knowledge of DC, that is so impressive how recognized Garfield was beast boy. Other reactors who even know just as much or maybe even a little more never catch on fast. Same with how one y'all recognized bumble bee from that one episode after watch teen titans

To be fair they watched all of Teen Titans AND have watched some of the movies with Beast Boy, who does get referred to as Garfield (or just Gar) in those. It's one of the few things thats recent enough. Also adding in the whole "Animal Sanctuary", it kinda just make you immediately think of Beast Boy.
