  1. As a ‘chick’ who watched Teen Titans growing up and had a crush on Beast Boy, i can confirm he was my intro to liking men with point ears lol.

  2. So while everything @Christopher said is true, the bright colors(and to an extent, the Robins themselves) also worked in a similar fashion to the Bat-Symbol itself, a false target meant to lure criminals toward the most heavily defended part(the Bat-Symbol is the most armored part of the Batsuit and is why it’s sometimes yellow, whereas fucking with Robin just means the Bat is close on your ass lol)

    1. nah but they put up a poll td, hoping for Young Justice so they can get some lore accurate representations & insight into the DCU(even though its still not 1:1)

  3. You guys should watch the Netflix Series called “Sweet Tooth” next, I think y’all will really enjoy it- could be a good replacement for any of the shows you’re finishing up. The final season is coming out this year and it’d be the perfect time to pick it up! <3

  4. Batman is also seen in different shades of blue, as well I remember having this Batman figure that had like this white ice suit(I think it had wings too, but I don’t full recall). But Robin being in bright colors as a distraction does make sense.

  5. The Tan chick is a style in Japan called “Ganguro”. It’s meant to rebel against the ‘traditional beauty standards’ of pale skin with dark hair that’s prominent in Japan.

  6. You guys should watch, the teen titans go! To the movies it’s actually very funny and not hard to love unlike the actual show. Teen titans go vs the teen titans is a good one too but they’re both for laughs

  7. i’m glad yall enjoyed the show so much!  after steven universe and atla/korra, i was mainly watching for teen titans and gumball.  it’s been great to revisit the series through yall.  one of my top comfort shows of all time.

  8. btw there is a lost episode in the extras of the trouble in tokyo DVD but i think it’s like 10 mins, so probably just worth watching in ur own time instead of turning it into a reaction! definitely recommend the 2 teen titans go movies and 100% keep going through the DCAMU to get to Teen Titans VS Justice League and Teen Titans: Judas Contract!! they’re all fun lil movies 🙂

  9. “The Batman” and “Justice League” and “Justice League Unlimited” are definitely the next step in pursuing amazing quality DC cartoons likes Teen Titans.

(Yes, Young Justice, I agree, it’s fucking amazing, but I see everyone and their dog react to that and no love given for the shows that paved the way, so just let me have this!)

If I had to choose, though, I would recommend Justice League first, as it’s in the almost perfect DCAU crafted by the legendary Bruce Timm and still holds up immacutely to this day…!

  10. waiting for Robin and Starfire to finally admit their feelings for each other in real time was so painful as 12 year old, glad to know the movie still holds up

asking yall once again to watch Kim Possible [four seasons + two movies] or American Dragon Jake Long [two seasons] next🥺🙏🏿

  11. Hey boom, there is a sumo anime if you are interested. I’ve read the manga and loved it. No clue how the anime is but I’m sure it’s good.

  12. The original reason Robin’s costume’s are bright colors, are to honor his parents, as it was similar to what he wore as a trapeze artist. It was later updated as a means of getting Robin to master stealth. Sneaking up on someone with all black, and relying on the darkness is easy, doing so while you look like a traffic cone is impressive. It’s why he’s so good at stealth later when he becomes nightwing, arguably as good as Batman himself.
