Oh btw, before watching S4 of Young Justice, you might need to react to Green lantern the animated series. Sorry I can't say why, but theirs sort of a reference that will make more sense if you watch GL. Please 🙏🏼

So that purple guy is Elongated Man and I am pretty sure his comic origins is literally the same as Luffy and he like ate a magic fruit that gave him stretchy powers. That's why he is human and not considered a meta.

both points right, it was a soda drink made from a certain fruit, making Gingold soda his go-to late night sip. He's also a great detective, rivaling Batman on occasion, can actually sniff off-putting details like a "Spider-Sense," and though is noted to be less extraordinary as Plasticman when it comes body morphing, can still take on people's identities through shape-shifting.

It was a mystical drink but yeah, it’s a pretty funny origin because it’s one of those origins that seems super repeatable but no one else has done it. The hilarious thing about Elongated Man’s creation is that one of the Flash writers wanted someone like Plastic Man as a supporting character and FORGOT THAT PLASTIC MAN WAS DC after DC brought Quality comics. He was a copy of a character they already had the rights to lmao

Quick correction, it was Julius Schwartz, one of the head editors at DC, who forgot Plastic Man existed lol. In fact, that’s the reason Plastic Man wasn’t used for a while after the acquisition until someone threw him into Dial H for Hero(a series where there’s a phone that turns people into random superheroes). The guy in charge just didn’t notice DC got him.
