i have a hard time keeping up with reading subtitles while also watching a show. i constently have to pause and rewind because either i didn't read fast enough or i missed something. also watching in dubbed would be easier to react too, i'd assume, since it's hard to talk while also reading and if they don't read or pause every time they talk, they'd miss stuff. but that might be just a me issue

Yeah no the step dad is right. The guy has a gambling problem, has literal criminals on his tail before meeting his daughter, doesn't take the thought to just give his kid a simple meal and gambles instead, steals from his mom, Abandoned his pregnant wife, and only shows up to his ex with problems.
He then has the gall to have too much pride to take the money for his mother who is literally falling apart despite what both the step dad and wife said being true. They are moving for a better job and he is never there for his kid or ex the past 3 years. Why should they have to continue to appease his ego as her father when he never really acts like one or is responsible at least for his kid.
Just cause your a biological father don't make you a kids dad.

He does act like her father. He can spend time with her without money. We saw in the first episode that she loves him and loves spending time with him anyway. He does have all those problems but what makes you think that anyone except MAYBE his mother knows about it. The step dad is in the wrong. You cant try to pay someone to not see their kid anymore. He is there for his daughter just not financially.

Nah, he has no right to punch the step-dad when he put himself in that situation, shoot he wasn’t even there when his pregnant wife fainted and what does he do he chose to save someone else who fainted over his own pregnant wife (if I was had to choose my pregnant wife or a guy who I barely know I 100% choose my pregnant wife) and still the guy he tried to save ended up dying meanwhile his pregnant wife had to crawl her way to the hospital and give birth which he missed btw.

Yes I agree that he shouldnt have hit him but the stepdad is in the wrong. His daughter loves him and spending time with him and vice versa and her stepdad tries to pay him to never see her again? It doesnt matter if hes in debt the only way thats acceptable is if he was a danger to his daughter.

I think that’s the fantastic thing about this series. The whole second episode, you were just thinking, “Ok, how are they gonna keep everyone here? Rig the votes? Change the rules? Threaten families?” But they didn’t do any of that. They just set up the game so it’s completely fair and they can all leave if they want to

I can never recommend the K-Drama VINCENZO enough. It's one season, and probably my favorite revenge series ever. The beginning scene sets the tone clearly, and the humor they use to offset the tension makes you forget just who the people are you're dealing with is spot on. You can find it on Netflix.
