I think y'all (and Bree too) should watch Goblin: The Great and Lonely God (also sometimes called Guardian) as like a palate cleanser if you want to hop into K-Drama world. It's one of the best, has Gong Yoo (the guy from Train to Busan) and is a fun romantic comedy with supernatural elements.

212 isn't necessarily calling the guys "babe", she's calling them all "oppa/오빠" which is a term for a guy older than the speaker and is often considered overly juvenile when women her age use it as a term of closeness with other men. (Hence some of the cringing early on when she was flirting with snake tattoo guy.) She also calls the one woman "eonnie/언니" which is a term for a girl older than the speaker. In literal translation they mean older brother and older sister and are gender specific for use by girls/women.

The actual terms used for "honey" and "babe" are used usually only between established couples, "yeobo/여보" and "jagiya/자기야". I don't quite know why they aren't used as terms for flirting, I've only seen them used between long term couples, usually married.

Season 1 was a standalone season and complete show, season 2 only exists because of how massively popular it was creator didn't even particularly want to continue the show and got annoyed when ppl asked him if there'd be a sequel season lmao

Not necessarily, he didnt get annoyed that people wanted a season 2 or even at making a season 2, he was annoyed near the end of production because his whole life for 2 years was nothing but making the show, even when you love your creation, it can get annoying if its all you focus on

When done with Squid Games or Alice in Borderland I'd recommend All of Us Are Dead and Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Both are some of my favorite K-dramas alongside with Squid Games and Alice in Borderland, and I'd love to see your reactions on them!

For anyone who watched Season 1 of All of Us Are Dead, let’s acknowledge Lee Yoo-Mi’s acting ranging from having the audience hoping for her death since the start of one show, to being sad that she died in the one episode she was in another.

In the previous episode, Sang-woo tells Ali to call him 형/Hyung, which is loosely defined as 'older brother', but it's also used between older and younger male friends who are close.
