While I’m against what Boom is saying about SpongeBob’s morality, I agree that it’s fun to see the roles reversed.

Just fyi Spongebob vs the Gadget was a John Henry reference, which is a African American folktale about a raiload worker who challenges a machine that does same thing as him, and beats it but dies at the end. HE IS NOT PAUL BUNYAN.

I saw a animation somewhere about the Man vs Machine like John Henry but instead it was Paul Bunyan and woodchopping machine and I felt like it was a total rip off

I hated episode 7. To Love a Patty was just weird and stupid even for Spongebob and I hated that scene where he killed those clams and Spongebob was also awful in Fresh Breath of Squidward. I felt bad for Squidward at the end before he got electrocuted again. Season 5 does have good episodes but I'm not gonna lie, I am seeing the decline of enjoyment at least on my part. Don't get me wrong. I think you guys should continue on as long as you want and I'll be here enjoying your reactions. I'm just saying I'm seeing the decline in quality of the show. I am excited to see you react to the other movies cause I found them enjoyable and the 20th anniversary special.

I’ll admit episodes from now on are def weird and some i definitely hate, but I really hope you keep watching at least until the truth or square special, definitely my fav. And I’d LOVE if you’d react to the sponge out of water movie. Literally so fucking funny and is my favorite along with the first

So canonically SpongeBob brutally kills a bunch of baby clams over a sandwich.
It only gets weirder from here.

Honestly I hope you guys don’t pay attention to the comments and just continue to watch SpongeBob for as long as you want. It might not be as good as some of the earlier seasons but it’s still funny at the end of day and there are still some killer memes to witness in later seasons. Also, Brie is a Squidward hater. Like SpongeBob and Patrick torture him all the time lmao

Brie: When has Squidward ever apologized in all five seasons?
Verbally in the April Fools episode and through his actions in the Christmas episode.

I like how at 1:00 the lettuce and cheese is on top of the patty. Then in the night next shot it’s under the patty. Magic

Maybe after season 5, yall could do a poll or ask which episodes to react to cuz there are at least 2 episodes yall should see off the top of my head and they're in seasons 6 and 8

Honestly, every season, even the weakest ones, have some pretty damn good episodes, but I would maybe suggest stopping after season 5, and going on to the other movies to kind of bookend the whole thing. OR you could watch some of season 6 and see if you guys get to that point where you're actually genuinely not enjoying it anymore and then go from there. SpongeBob is definitely a complicated show when it comes to asking what episodes a newcomer should watch and/or where they should stop,. The show has touched and been watched nearly everyone on the planet at this point, and because of that there are SOOOO many varying opinions. Like, personally, I would say I enjoy around 80% of the entire series, but obviously not everyone is like that. I'm very curious as to how you guys will end up handling this whole thing going forward. And, regardless, I feel like we wouldn't want the spongebob reactions to go on TOO long, basically taking up a slot for another potential show.
I still enjoy it a lot.
