SpongeBob music are always banger to hear in episodes but it’s really sad now they are not being used anymore in the later seasons, I really hate the style of the music in the later seasons

I’m not the first to say it but squidward is in fact an octopus. Pretty much every time when he is shown realistic it is an octopus. However continuity isn’t the most important part of SpongeBob so there may be a time or two when he’s shown as a squid but I’m not sure. I think squids are also seen and different then squidward in other episodes.

Squidville would be a lot more convincing if Squidward had, at any point up to now, admitted to enjoying SpongeBob’s company without being pushed to the edge of sanity.
As it is, it feels like he’s just been conditioned by living next to a daily disaster for so long, and now he’s not capable of feeling like he belongs anywhere, even with the people he should relate to.
He’s like the queer kid who grows up hardline Christian. Or Steven Universe after he’s run out of childlike innocence and problems to solve.

The wormy episode gave me an irrational fear of butterflies as a child to the point I would runaway from them and I lived in an area where monarch butterflies migrated through. I was 8 and learned what fear truly was.

I’m realizing now that snails/worms are like household pets in Spongebob so wormy was probably something like a tiny puppy to Spongebob and Patrick. Explains why they were mortified thinking the butterfly ate it?

Oh no, Squidward is in fact an octopus! The creator just really liked the name "Squidward!"

Nah Squidward is an octopus. They just thought Octoward would sound weird as a name.

No he is an octopus as confirmed by Stephen Hillenburg. I believe he said he has 6 tentacles cause 8 was too hard to animate.
