Why do I hear PowerPuff Girls Christmas movie right after Fred punches threw the wall at the bug fair?
Am I tripping or is episode 13 a reference to the horror anime Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni (In English When the Cicadas Cry)????
is the owner of destroido the same guy working for MR E at 22:27
While the second episode definitely the least story relevant because most of it literally being a dream, but the references to old Hanna Barbara cartoons makes it worth it. All of the other mystery groups we saw were basically rip-offs of Mystery Inc. because of how popular the mystery solver teen group formula was, and this was such a cool way to pay homage to all them.
is it just me or does anyone else hear Princess from PPG around 21:15
I’m starting to think that Fred’s obsession with traps might be a bondage fetish
hes not wrong I heard the background power puff too
One of the things I love about Mystery Inc is that a lot of the episodes really do a lot of call backs ranging from classic horror flicks to straight up being a Hanna Barbera universe that has the some old Hanna Barbera Saturday morning cartoon characters make random small or big cameos every now and then.
Ep 14 threw me back to my childhood HARD.
Idk if someone’s said it yet, but one of the showrunners confirmed the reason Fred is so “dense” in this series is because he’s slightly on the spectrum.

Frank Welker, the voice of Fred and Scoob also was really enthusiastic about that spin on the character. He loves autistic Fred, and of course his hyperfixations are mysteries and traps
