  1. Lol so back here again to watch episode 2 XD I will admit I actually like how they got it in there rather than having it as its own vid or attaching it to 4/5 and being out of order so kudos to a smart solution.

Also yes Jacques VC Jason Douglas is Beerus as well as a bunch of other characters throughout the DB series, looked into his IMDB after Ruff brought it up and there is a surprisingly diverse list of credits

  2. So you have probably been told that the characters are based off of myths, stories, and fairy tales. Weise is Snow White and Klein is the seven dwarfs.

  3. All I will say is this line in the intro song is perfect summary of the vibes of the volume and how CRWBY are handling everything after Monty’s death:Move
    Onward
    Not
    There
    Yet
    MONTY

  4. THEY WATCHED THE TRAILERS ALL THE WAY THROUGH VOLUME 9!!?? Thank goodness they don’t remember anything because the trailers are spoiler city!

        1. Ok I just didn’t watch that whole video. But people probably confused them by calling the shorts “trailers” Only those original 4 are trailers.

  5. Since everyone else is talling about the missing episode, I might as well mention Pumpkin Pete’s Marshmallow Flakes was the cereal that Pyrrha was featured on the box of. That’s why Jaune kept wearing it.

  6. It happens. Skipped another episode by accident.
I just worry one day you guys will skip an important episode and then have spoiled for the episode you missed.

Maybe keep a list or double check before recording to be sure you’re always on the next correct episode.
    LOVE the RWBY reactions though.
Sparked my love of the show again.

  7. So, I see plenty of people commenting on the “missing episode 2” thing, so once more I shall go a different route: You guys are right about the huge jump in animation quality! At this point in time, RWBY had some money to play around with and they used it well! More animators and a BIG jump in animation software! Volumes 1-3 were all animated in a minor animation program called “Poser Pro”, which was also notoriously hard to animate in (trust me, I tried), but volume for they made the jump to the behemoth known as “Autodesk Maya”. Yes, THAT Autodesk Maya! The one used to provide special effects in blockbuster movies and AAA video games of which the list is to long for me to type out or to be bothered to copy and paste it! They went from a $100 program to a $700 program (last I checked around the time Vol 4 was coming out, those were the prices anyway). So yeah, big change in coat of paint and polish from here on.

On another note, in regards to RWBY videogames, there are people in the comments here who have mentioned the excellent ArrowFell game but they have also mentioned you guys are not at the right volume to play it without major spoilers, so I shall recommend checking out the first RWBY game: Grimm Eclipse! It might not have TOO much to it, but it was a fun action game with hack-and-slash gameplay that emulated the feel of the show and I do believe it is co-op if you boys wanted to play it together. IIRC you can choose to play as the members of RWBY and I think you could unlock Pyrrha?

    1. Grimm Eclipse is decent enough for what it is, it’s biggest downside being no native local co-op, though there may be a mod to add split-screen.

    1. Yeah, they’ve lucked out these couple of times where the episodes skipped don’t really create confusion. But I’m worried one of these times it will be an instance where it matters.

  8. As others have commented, you skipped episode 2. Not a major deal as the last time you skipped an episode but you got to get to it. There was also a post credit scene after volume 3 that you missed too. You have to have a system where it tells you what episode you’re on lol

  9. 2hrs and I think my comment still isnt showing up. I blame adding shift-enter breaks and 2 Youtube links. Okay. End credit scene in Volume 3 got skipped. Volume 4 character intro a cool thing to look into.  And as everyone already said, you skipped episode 2.

  10. One thing I’ve always liked about volume 4 is that you can clearly tell that Mercury and Emerald followed Cinder. Any time we see them in Salem’s castle, surrounded by the other lieutenants and grimm the both look so shook. It’s like they immediately realize that they signed up for something that is way over their heads but it’s too late to back out now.  It really humanizes them a bit imo, you can see that they are nowhere near as important or powerful as they have been built up to be in the past 3 volumes when put next to the REAL evils of the world.

  11. With in classic SortaStupid fashion you missed episode 2. You RWBY track record is not that great so far lol. I’m still enjoying it but still.

  12. As said, you guys skipped episode 2 and watched 1 and 3.

Also, there was an end credit scene your DVD skipped in Volume 3. (23 seconds long)

And there is a good Volume 4 teaser short they showed at their convention RTX that first introduced all the new outfits and animation updates, if interested.

  13. Do you guys not react to the Soundtracks at the end of each volume. Casue the songs do add more character development and give insite into how they feel. this is not really shown in the show so they put it in the songs. they are kind of neccesary

  14. Wayforward has a RWBY game called Arrowfell but DO NOT PLAY it until after you watch voulume 7!
It takes place a few episodes into volume 7 so playing it after 7 would be the best time to play it.
It’s a Metroidvania style (or search-action as some people are tying to redifine the genre as) and very fun

  15. It’s kinda insane how we only really get introduced to the main villain of the series in season 4 beyond namelessly mentioned and a cameo. It’d be like not knowing anything about Voldemort after 3 Harry Potter books.

    1. actually it does a great job setting her up as a real threat
in my book series (27 multi-genre anthology) the overall villain is introduced in book 2 but he’s mostly a side obstacle to the more prominent threats. The overall villain doesn’t have his name revealed for half the series but the moment does pack a masive gut punch.
