Guess Seohnee has to do a eulogy for Donald now. Looking forward to that.

I think what they were going for with Amber is that she's not being fair or entirely rational in what she's saying/how she's saying it but also that she's right that Mark has been an absolutely shitty boyfriend and "I'm a superhero" doesn't justify it. They just...really fucked up the landing on that, including in how hard they worked to make it seem like she didn't know. It is by a fair margin the most poorly written/executed thing in the show and it's weird.
My guess is that they were trying to fix some stuff with Amber from the comics to make her less an overly attached dependent, to give her more independence and such, and just fucked up entirely.

I hate that the shows characters try to gaslight mark into thinking he was in the wrong.
They are TEENAGERS there is no reason for him to ever divulge something as important as a secret identity. And if amber knew he was a superhero for weeks then her freak out on the college campus was even less justified and she knows that a bus didn't almost kill him

I'm also in the fuck Amber gang she's insufferable I mean if she knew he was Invincible why ask in front of people where he went during the cyborg attack Mark and Eve would be way better

The Amber thing really bothers me, just the irrationality of it all, it just makes no sense to me. I guess it's kind of human, people don't always make fucking sense, hell there are instances of people getting pissed off at people because of something that happened in a dream of theirs, but it just feels out of character for how they have portrayed her character up until that point.

ngl i've been thinking the same. the omni-man plot twist retroactivelely changes the way you view previous episodes because of the additional context and all his weird reactions make a lot more sense. with the amber plot twist, it just doesn't make any sense period. if she's known for the past few weeks that mark was invincible, why did she react the way she did at the university? why did she go "who was that?" when she saw invincible fly off after the campus attack? her behavior only makes sense for a character who was none the wiser about their significant other being a superhero.so personally im not really faulting amber as a character and instead holding the writers accountable for that writing decision because im ok with amber and mark breaking up but i really wished it had been done organically.

I always wondered why Amber was like that(she wasn’t like that in the comics), now I know that Hman retroactively manifested it into reality
