I posted on Discord a whole ago but I made two links of the playlists of the shorts, one where Timmy’s dubbed by Tara Strong and one dubbed by where he’s dubbed by Mary Kay Bergman. There’s a total of 10 shorts before the actual show came out.

Cosmo's voice was like this in the early episodes of sesson 1 and had this personality. Overtime he hot flanderized into the pitched voiced moron you've come to love by the end of season 1.

So story behind cosmo voice… og one is the same va as the new one. The first voice was meant to a homage to Phil Hartman aka Troy McClure from the Simpsons. But they changed it to be higher over time after Phil Hartman’s passing out of respect

Did you guys ever watch the Steven Universe pilot episode? It’s on YouTube I think and the animation style is magical! Would love to see your reaction, if you can :)

This feels like the rough draft to Phineas and Ferb honestly, especially Vicky tattling like Candace.

I never saw those other season 0 episodes so it was nice to see them but I wonder why they didnt include the very first pilot episode where Timmy first meets Cosmo and Wanda.  There's an actual episode 1 to those pilots where they begin the story.

It’s on Paramount+, buried near the end of Season 7 for some odd reason. They just grabbed the wrong episode.

They probably heard that rumor that Patamount+ hid the “pilot” at the end of Season 7 and skipped ahead to it’s last episode, failing to realize the pilot was actually hidden on the SECOND-to-last episode.

      tl;dr Paramount+ is a sham, as usual.

If you like the concept for the pilot you should check out Phineas and Ferb

Butch Hartman also had a third show on Nickelodeon called T.U.F.F Puppy, but from what I remember it didnt do as well as Danny Phantom or FOP. I think it only lasted like 2 or maybe 3 seasons. Idk I cant remember.

Three seasons with 60 episodes total; actually LONGER than Danny Phantom for raw episode count.

Okay, so... this isn't "technically" the pilot. Fairly OddParents got its start with a series of ten shorts on "Oh Yeah! Cartoons," but Paramount+ goofed up again and only gave you the fourth, sixth, and seventh shorts here. The actual first short, simply called "The Fairly OddParents," did a somewhat better job of selling that Timmy has a rough life (not necessarily "miserable," but his babysitter was still a jerk.)

Also, this part couldn't be avoided, but you got the newer version where Tara Strong re-dubbed all of Timmy's lines, which is why he sounds the same. He used to be voiced by Mary Kay Bergman.

Oh yes I remember these pilots coming on Oh Yeah Cartoons, although I had seen the show first before seeing those pilots as a kid. So as a kid I was like "oh okay they are showing how Timmy got his godparents" oh the nostalgia 🤣 🤣.

So this is actually Cosmo's same VA, he started the voice extremely deep, and it gets higher and higher as the series goes on (becomes a bit much after season 7 unfortunately)

Also yes he also voices the dad!

if you guys are gonna do more pilots; I'd recommend adventure time, gravity falls, and steven universe.

also sidenote regarding cosmo's voice; Cosmo, Dad, and Jorgen are all voiced by Darren Norris throughout all series. iirc, Cosmo's voice in the pilot was an impression of Phil Hartman, but Norris decided to retire it when Hartman was murdered. Also, on't think this counts as a spoiler, but Cosmo's voice got higher over time from season 1 to the latter seasons; my guess for why this is, is that since Norris does so many frequent roles on the show, he uses Cosmo to rest his deeper register, and Jorgen and Dad to rest his higher register.

yea adventure time was originally supposed to be a nick show but nick decided to pick fanboy and chum chum instead

I'm honestly thankful for that, i mean, can you imagine what adventure time would be like under nickelodeon? *shudders*

Probably for the best. Given what Nick was like in that era, they would’ve made Adventure Time with a bunch of gross out humor.
