Dragon ball is one of the few animes where people don't care if you watch sub or dub.Not like every other anime fandom where they might attack you for even daring to watch the English dub

Imo the first arc is not the best

But that’s THE ONLY FLAW with og dragon ball the rest of the series hit HARD

RR arc will forever be my favorite (won’t say why)

This was a pleasant surprise seeing you start with OG Dragon Ball. I was not expecting that but I'm super glad for it! (Hot take, but it's actually still my favorite Dragon Ball series, even though I started with Z like everyone else who isn't Japanese.) To think, by the end of your journey, you'll actually have seen more of Dragon Ball than the other guys who got you into it. XD

Oh yeah, Toriyama loved his name puns. Glad you caught Shu and Mai. I'm sure you've noticed Emperor Pilaf. Bulma is actually based on "Bloomer" and her last name is Briefs. There will be a looooot more to come, though I'm sure you've caught onto many of them from DBZA already.

  Actually, it's worth noting Bulma's family doesn't have a last name. Son Goku having a family name is a particular rarity in the Dragon Ball world. Which is something the dub ends up completely changing, as Goku loses his family name and Bulma gains one she never had in Japanese.

I'm glad you're enjoying the anime I love the dub of Dragon Ball a lot of the jokes are really adult themed

only a couple minutes in and I had a similar experience with watching a show dub at first then switched to sub. For me it was One Piece, I watched 400 or 500 something episodes dub and thats as far as the dub went so i switched to sub and it was still amazing.
