I am back again with more comic lore! Superman's weaknesses are Kryptonite, red sun radiation and magic. Amazons like Wonder Woman don't really have any apparent weakness but they also don't have as many powers or are as strong, they usually have fighting skills and weapons. Not as many things for me to tell y'all about but I hope its helpful. :>

I find the way they deal with Kaldur in this show to be kinda funny. as an aqua lad he was created for young justice so they didn't really need to worry about stuff in season one. then he got popular so they added him to the comics and made him Black Mantas son which they shoehorned into season 2. Then in the years since then he came out as gay and has a loving boyfriend which they shoehorn in here. its just funny to me how they are dealing with him growing in the comics by just making his default the same point in the show without any of the buildup or real character work.

Kaldur was actually based on Jackson Hyde. Jackson has existed since Brightest Day in 2010, this show was made in 2012, the comic preceded it by two years. They chose in this show to have him be raised in Atlantis rather than on the surface like the comics, why he has an Atlantean name. After the show was canceled after S2, he came out in the comics as gay, Tula being the only girl he had ever had affection for since they've been friends for so long. Then it got greenlit for Season 3 on Max and decided to match the comics that way. Which honestly makes sense since the YJ show has timeskips.

nah this is misinformation, Kaldur was created first but debuted second, the entire story as to why was given its own DC.Com splash page.
I think the version of Kaldur in the comics was a character named Jackson Hyde who was loosely based on or inspired by Kaldur who yes was made purely for this show 🤔.

The other way around. Kaldur was based on Jackson. Jackson precedes the show by 2 years. They just made him be raised in Atlantis in the show instead on the surface like in the comics.

Nah, Kaldur is the original, it just takes a LONG time for animation to be completed rather than a comic book. in 2010, Geoff Johns, Aquaman writer at the time, wanted to revamp the title following Darkest Night & Brightness Day, and just so happened to overhear some convos by Brandon Viette and Greg Weismann that inspired Geoff to include their character in his book.

Halo constantly dying is a negative of the show, straight up. We know she won't die, there is no "oh shit" moment for an immortal character. It's like watching Vandal Savage take a bullet between the eyes, you know he's about to brush it off. If the series wanted to feel real in this setting, they'd have actual consequences. It's something that season 2 did right and season 3 constantly does wrong.

The issue I think most people have with Halo dying is that it happens too much, and I can agree. It just seems like they are doing that because they can now get away with showing a gruesome death, and it makes you wonder if the villains are just pulling their punches with the other heroes but for some reason are going for the kill with Halo 🤨.

Grey Delisle has such a recognizable voice. Smallville definitely has a special place for me as one of the earlier live action superhero media I watched growing up. If you are looking for other superhero stuff to watch, then I recommend Spectacular Spider-Man. It was canceled after two seasons (26 episodes) because of Sony and Disney licensing issues. There were five seasons and direct to DVD movies planned. Static Shock is another one you mentioned and would be enjoyable as well.

Ruff if you want to get into any marvel comics you should start reading the ultimate universe (1610) its from the early 2000s and is darker and more realistic. It's also when marvel made the universe move with our time instead of it being in the "past". Brian Bendis Ultimate Spider-Man is one of the best series out there. Also a lot of the MCU is based off of the ultimate universe.
