Formsuperhero animated shows to try out you should think about spectacular Spider-Man or he’ll even your friendly neighbor Spider-Man was good as well

I don't need the finality on Darkseid himself, but something further on the lines of Apokolips is necessary now that they've gone further into New Genesis. We have Orion established as the Son of Darkseid, so now we need the other end of that, tied into the Furies plot line they set up at the end of this season. I'm fine without a definitive ending on The Light vs Apokolips but it should get pushed as the main driving force if it gets renewed

the most likely answer ive heard for why Kara was in the Phantom Zone is she was accidently sent there during the destruction of Krypton and is suffering from extreme Zone Sickness after 40 years stuck there

honestly, i respect the creators for standing their ground and telling the story they wanted to tell regardless of fan wants, though that maybe because I'm not as invested in the comics as the average YJ fan

The Emerald Eye is super magical, it went after Ursa because it always picks a host that is craving more power. Which is what she was screaming about when it picked her.

The guy at the end who picked up Saturn Girl, Phantom Girl, and Chameleon Boy is Brainiac 5, the descendant of the Brainiac who was one of Superman's villains. and Brainiac 2 is the founder of the first iteration of the Legion, during Superman's time, well before the Legion of Superheroes in the future, but Brainiac 2's Legion was more like an intergalactic private security firm, and there's a couple working for it that end up getting powers from the Emerald Eye at one point too, but Lobo was also a member of Brainiac 2's Legion.

Also, in the comics, when Lor-Zod is not another version, raised to be a power-hungry monster by the Zods, he's adopted by Clark and Lois and his name is Christopher Kent. He is also mentored by Nightwing and subs in as Nightwing for a while when Dick is thought to be dead but even after he's found alive, Christopher's new costume still resembles Nightwing's.

"Black Mary" is Mary Marvel, Billy's sister. Y'all actually missed an after credits scene back at the end of the arc with Dr. Fate, Klarion and the Child where she was crying in an alley because of Zatanna not letting her be one of Fate's hosts because of her leeching power from people because she was still too power hungry and Granny Goodness approaches her when she's vulnerable. There is a time in the comics as well where Mary struggles in a similar way.

Supergirl- Kara Zor-El wasn't a criminal, she was also sent in a pod when Krypton blew up, like Clark was. She was a teenager at the time and her pod got blasted into the Phantom Zone on accident so she's been stuck in there where time doesn't move for 40 years. She does have some Apokalyps stuff as plot.

If you want more on that, there's a movie from 2010 called Superman/Batman: Apocalypse. More on the Legion, there IS a Legion of Superheroes show. Also recommend the Superman/Shazam! Showcase. It will tell you more about Billy Batson, and that one has showcases for three other DC Universe characters, Green Arrow, the Spectre, and Jonah Hex. Also suggest the old Justice League and Justice League Unlimited shows, Unlimited was the show returning with more heroes and junk. :>

If y'all want some good DC shit in preparation for James Gunn's Superman you should watch James Gunn's Suicide Squad (2021) Peacemaker, and Creature Commandos, genuinely I think y'all would love all three. It's definitely my favorite DC stuff in recent years. Plus it's in continuity with all the upcoming DC movies

also wow I just now realized that they treated S4 like a comic book run. like how the Bruce Wayne Murderer/Fugitive storyline is told across multiple Batfamily individual character runs, the story arcs for the "main" characters (M'gann and Conner; Artemis; Zatanna; Kaldur; Rocket) sometimes occur simultaneously (like the Chaos arc being one of the inciting incidents in Kaldur's arc) or immediately sequentially. i will say, Artemis's arc felt the most disconnected, since there was no point in her episodes that directly related to or furthered the Phantom Zone/Zod story

i would love for them to react to the DCAU (DC animated universe from the 90s to early 2000s) but they'll definitely need to take notes because i love how Justice League Unlimited finishes the story started in Justice League (which also hints to things that happened in the Batman animated series and the Superman animated series). or they could ask a superfan who lives in their area to sit in and tell them what they've missed 😅

Phew! where do I begin 🤣🤣: First of all I do see where you guys are coming from and why you think this season is weaker than the others. Your vibes going down reminded me about how Blind Wave was disappointed with season 3. I also can agree that some of these last few episodes felt a little rushed and that the kryptonian arc could have been the whole season, and that they were clearly restrained by budget.

HOWEVER lol! I do not agree that this season was the weakest. Giving the original team their own story arcs I think was good way to structure this season so that we can keep a better balance of all the characters and story, the animation was a bit more clean and crisp (nearly matching season 1 and 2), and it brought back a similar fun energy that I felt was sorely lacking in season 3. Season 3 while not overall bad was the more flawed imo. It was a bit draggy and dreary, the animation and characters designs weren't quite as crisp or clean, and it did sometimes feel like they were trying way to hard to take advantage of the fact that they were no longer a CN show 🤔.

In addition, I do still think y'all would have liked this season more if you hadn't gone in with so much hype and expected some big storyline involving Darksied or an apocalypse war adaptation which I don't think the show ever indicated it would do that. Within the shows World Darksied and Vandal Savage going at it is more implied to be an end of this universe thing not a end of this series thing. Though I wouldn't be surprised if they did it in a season 5.

Nevertheless, you're feelings here are understandable and fair, and my disagreements with y'all here are not as bad as they were for Shrek 4 lol. Regardless, young justice doing things like having big time skips, lots of expositional dialogue, and throwing in so many characters has always been a pro and con with the show. A pro in that it captures the feel of reading a comic book, and a con in that it tends to alienate casual viewers 🤔.

One last note: the Garfield being depressed storyline was something other people complained about for this season too because of how dragged out it was. However, there are many other people who were fine with it because they get that the writers were trying to show that something like that can't be solved in a single episode. I only mention this because I know others are gonna mention this lol.

Still confused of Shazam being 1 kid? Not to mention you missed a detail for skipping post-credit a scene to not recognize Mary Marvel. With all do respect, y'all need to take notes for comic shows. People don't be hard because you're not super DC or Marvel fans. It's just a lot to take in or remember for even casuals like y'all to take in. I remember in one video, you jokingly wondered how people still said y'all are not huge DC fans still despite amount of content reacted to. It's obvious lol

I mean to be fair, If a show is throwing a lot at you (even small details) that you're expected to just remember or have a pen and paper ready to go. Then isn't that more the fault of the show then the viewers lol?

Considering even as far as early season 2 because of talking they missed simple answers. Hell one of them could not understand this show wasn't connected to the DCAMU questioning if Dick left Starfire.

Understood, but I think most casual viewers are likely to have mix ups like that on a 1st viewing. In addition, most casual viewers are likely to take to take notes during any show or movie or even care to do that 🤔.

I think you guys really should start taking notes during the shows you watch because holy hell 😂😂😂😂😂😂

That wasn’t Black Adam’s sister, that was Mary, Billy’s adopted sister who was one of Zatanna’s apprentices during her arc. You guys didn’t watch the post-credits scene from episode 13, so you missed her getting manipulated by Granny Goodness into saying “Shazam”

Lowkey I wish if we get season 5 they just skip the entire Apokolips stuff, solving it off-screen in-between season, because I think that would be extremely funny

50:42 I also like to add the main two downsides of comics is that at any point it can be canceled and/or a new writer will come and just no follow through or completely rewrite what was set up. *Looks directly at post Krakoa X-men*

YJ while I love its definately the most ambitious DC show ever with soo many characters and storylines there having to juggle S3 and 4 definately felt like they wanted to do so many things but didn't have a clear solid direction of how to get there. You guys would definitely enjoy the Justice League , Justice League Unlimited and Batman Beyond and Superman Animated series more those have a coherent storyline that makes sense and they focus on the League actually and Hawkgirl has the best arc. Batman the animated series ties into it too

Your discussion at the end was so interesting because I was hearing so many things that the community has been saying for years, but then you sprinkle in some stuff that I know would have people fuming like wanting more Halo or putting season 4 below season 3 lol

Yeah he was just like, “This is a cool eye from the 31st century.” And the that was it. I was thinking it was cool from that legion show a while ago, but not knowing, dude picked up an eyeball, said some random comic book shit, stuck it in is pocket and refused to elaborate further.

Honestly felt like a lot of characters and story from earlier seasons this season. Oh that’s a thing moving on. Ah now it’s important, hope you remembered or rewatched the show.
