So I think Roy looking like he does is supposed to be a nod/reference to the fact he was a heroin addict in the comics for a bit.

This is fully my personal opinion but Season 2 really cemented my hatred of M'gann. Like. A lot of her actions here are just so bad and I side with Superboy in their breakup. I don't care for their romance at all and never will. Their whole relationship issues this season is the only downside of S2 imo.
HOWEVER! Nevermind all that.
Here's a little (not so) fun fact! In the comics, Roy Harper at one point gets addicted to drugs and goes through a really rough patch. In the comics, rather than trying to help Roy recover and fix himself up, Green Arrow and co vehemently berate him and treat him lower than dirt, pretty much acting like Roy should just die because he was hooked. This arc for Roy in the show feels like a subtle nod to that arc, having Roy be haggard and worn out, but instead they played a supportive role here and are trying to help.
No lie, next week is top tier (to me). The introduction of my favorite DC character, in one of his TWO only appearances in DC media outside of comics. SO HYPED!!!!

So! People often times call Eobard Thawne, The Reverse Flash, the biggest hater in comics. He is not. Not by a long shot. Eobard Thawne does not hate Barry Allen. Eobard Thawne is *obsessed* with Barry Allen and will express that obsession in whatever way gets him the most time and attention from Barry Allen. Ruining Barry's life just so happens to be the way he can get the most attention from Barry. And he has the super powers to let him do it.
Black Manta? He is the biggest hater in comics. Black Manta *hates* Arthur Curry. Even before, hell *especially* before the New 52 retconned a reason for him to do so. Manta has murdered Aquaman's son, caused his divorce, and had the nerve to show up at the UN asking how the kids and wife were. Manta had his lifelong ailment (that caused him to feel extreme discomfort when not in water) healed by Aquaman, behaved as though that was the cause of his villainy, acted as his friend and confidant only to shoot him in the back at the first opportunity when his guard was down. Manta made an entire city think Aquaman is a racist, just because. When Arthur died, Manta gave up being a villain, bought a modest beach-side property, opened a fish shop, and started living life. And there was another dude operating as Aquaman at the time (Arthur Joseph Curry, who is not Arthur Curry and only distantly related to him). And then the *literal minute* he heard on the news that Arthur was back from the dead he murdered everyone in that shop, blew it up, got his suit, and swam out in to the night *screaming* Aquaman's name.
Black Manta *hates* Aquaman.

I thought it was because Hman didn't want to continue the reactions for personal reasons, while also not willing to make the move to where their studio is located.

Fun fact, in the comics that version of Wondergirl (there are of course like four or five) is Zeus's granddaughter. Wonder Woman being the daughter of Queen Hippolyta and Zeus is also Wondergirl's aunt. Lots of nephews and nieces in the sidekick world
