  1. Avatar becoming big again can actually be attributed to Netflix. The show came to Netflix during the pandemic lockdowns, which resulted in people who already loved it rewatching it, and a lot of new people getting into it. It hit the #1 streaming show some 15 years after it came out. It was because of that, that Avatar Studios was formed.

  2. Seing these flashbacks makes ke realise how well korra follows the heroes journey she allways havs some life changing fall just before she draggs herselfmout the mud snd wins the day but remaines scared each time its classical mythology heroes journey structure

  3. Something I love is the fact that they’ve brung a full circle to tophs story, when aang needed a earthbending teacher he had visions in the swamp of toph, so it didn’t just hold meaning to the fact that’s where she ended up at the end of her path, but it’s where korra found her when she needed toph, I think it really shows how fate connected toph to the avatar and her friendship with aang transcending lifetimes, like katara being the one being helping korra to walk again, at the same place her and aang met!

  4. With The Avatar Creators, I Feel Like They Are Avatar. Like Just Their Visions And Mindset Alone Towards The Avatar World And How It’s Created. I Do See What Ruffs Saying Though, With Growth In Life, The Original Creators May Not Have The Same Vision, Or At Least A Vision The Interest You. I Wonder That Too But From What I’ve Seen And Heard From Them Online I Believe Avatar Is Just Who They Are And As They Grow In Life, So Does Their Ability To Write For The Avatar World. I Could Be Wrong Though, Lowkey A Nail Bitter.

    1. ‘I know it’s not the best’

You don’t say. But I actually second this. M Night’s Avatar is almost on the cusp of it’s so bad that it’s funny and I can see the reaction to it being really funny.

  5. “Zaheer’s kinda getting what he wanted.” No he isn’t Boom. This is the complete opposite of what he wanted. Zaheer is an anarchist. Kuvira is a fascist. You could not have two political ideologies that are more different.

  6. My ranking for the seasons probably goes:
    1. Avatar S3
    2. Korra S3 (basically tied with Avatar season 3)
    3. Avatar S2
    4. Korra S4 (again, very close)
    5. Korra S1
    6. Avatar S1 (good but it just got so much better)
    7. Korra S2. Loved the avatar Wan lore and seeing Iroh though. Also Varrick lol

So far season 4 has been great. I didn’t love it my first time around but I like it a lot more now. I just wish Kuvira had at least somewhat of a bigger presence in S3 since they knew she would be a baddie in season S4. Not that big of a deal though.

    1. Mine would be:
      1. Avatar S2
      2. Korra S3
      3. Avatar S3
      4. Korra S4
      5. Korra S1
      6. Korra S2
      7. Avatar S1
I have Korra S2 over ATLA S1 simply because the highs of that season were so amazing and the lows were not as bad as I remembered.

    2. Mine are a little different and probably the fandom wouldn’t agree but I don’t mind.
      1. Korra S3
      2. Avatar S3
      3. Korra S4
      4. Korra S1
      5. Avatar S2
      6. Korra S2
      7. Avatar S1

I like the more mature, and with less filler episodes, vibe of Korra and it’s also my favorite animated show ever

      1. …why would subtlety be required for something like this? Some things aren’t subtle. They do show the rhetoric and, to some extent, results that draw some people to believe in a dictator like Kuvira – but she’s still a dictator.
