Knowing where the romances end up, I still feel bad they had to do the love triangle in season 1 back when they thought it would be the only season they’d be allowed to make
While I wholly concur that Apps is hands down cuter than Naga, as far as “cutest of all time”, do I *really* need to remind you guys of a certain reindeer by the name of Tony Tony Chopper?
Im pro equalist its the working mans revolution, the ending compromise is such liberal garbage. To be far this show in later seasons demonizes the far right just as much as the far left.
There’s some out of show elaboration on the Tenzin and Beifong romance from the creators (Not a spoiler) Lin didn’t want kids and Tenzin kinda needed to have them or he’d be the last Airbender. Pema was an air acolyte (people who loved air nomad culture despite not being air nomads) and like 15 years younger than Lin and Tenzin. So Lin’s probably also bitter about getting left for someone younger
I don’t care what anybody says, I say, I like korra , as much as I like avatar. And I do think it’s pretty well liked, I just think there’s a vocal minority that are upset that it’s not avatar the last Airbender two. That’s not a jab at those who think that, it’s just very different from the original avatar series
I’ve always felt like Korra has higher highs and lower lows than ATLA. How you feel about the show is partially just taste, and partially how much emphasis you put on the good parts vs the bad parts.
For me, the reason Korra doesn’t stand up to the original; is because of the Romance aspect and a few other reasons, that would’ve definitely been handled better if the creators got the go ahead to have multiples seasons off the bat. The romance stuff felt forced and unneeded, or could’ve been done muuuuuuch better. Especially in this first season. Again though, that ties into the Creators not knowing they would have more than one season. Otherwise, the show is pretty good. Just some things needed work.
If ATLA is top5 shows this is easily top 10, top 20 at most. The fights and music gives me goosebumps and the jokes are just as good as Atla. I was worried that you guys wouldn’t enjoy this as much as ATLA but I’m glad you guys are giving it a chance, enjoying it and seeing it for what it is <3
So funfact, Tahno was voiced by Rami Malek. He’s in a TON of stuff like Bohemian Rhapsody, Until Dawn, the last of the Twilight movies, and Night at the Museum, etc. etc.
I had forgotten Korra movie will be a thing! That makes me very happy. I love ATLA stuff too, but I’m personally more interested to see new Korra stuff.
I don’t think it’s ever stated in the show itself, but the creators have confirmed that Tenzin and Lin broke up because she didn’t want to have kids. While he wants to be a dad, I think Tenzin also thinks it’s his duty to pass on Airbender genes.

I’ve to say the only thing I dislike in this season is the love triangle because I just hate that plot line, but besides that season 1 is amazing and I hope you guys are loving as much as I did when watching for the first time 🙂
So every season is its own story. And it’s own villain. This show was not put together as completely as ATLA which is why alot of people don’t like it. This first season was acctually supposed to be the only season of this show but it did so well they greenlit more seasons. However they didn’t greenlight them all at once it was very much a will they/won’t they make another season.
i think there’s supposed to be a movie about the gaang when they’re older, but before they have children. idk i’ve seen something on tiktok and twitter about it and it’s supposed to be released in 2025 apparently.
The Korra show is good but it doesn’t feel like the original ATLA it feels like it’s own stand alone show. There also some lore continuity stuff it messes with in each season. After rewatching original with you guys I noticed that Korra messes with some lore from the original show and doesn’t necessarily retcon them but defiantly twists them in weird ways.
The live action movie is the first movie that made me realize that movies can be bad. and not like funny bad. I was 15 years old and 30 minutes in I walked out and demanded a refund and I’ve never finished it.
I love Korra as well. Great show. The negativity that a small portion of the Atla fanbase exhibits can basically be narrowed down to 2 main things. 1. The fact that it’s not Atla nor does it have the same feel. And 2. The mishandling between seasons
Sure it’s built up but you need to actually look for it to notice them actually building it up, It’s not strange for people to think it comes out of nowhere when it’s hints are so hard to notice if you don’t look for it.
Yeah, but that’s a thing the creators of Korra wanted to do from the start but this show is from a time where network were shying away from that. Just look at another reaction series, She-Ra same thing happens there.
Avoiding spoilers, She-Ra is a good comparison of the times because they do that similar thing but are able to be way more overt at every step along the way.
I don’t think they really lied to them, they were already approved for season 3&4 while they were still working on season 2, the only thing that nick didn’t really them them is season 2, but season 1 is pretty self contained so that wasn’t really a problem.
Please tell me I’m not the only one that whenever I see the fifth episode can only think about that lipsink video with the “37 my girlfriend sucked 37 dicks” “in a row?”

Korra, Zuko, and Adult Aang are all getting movies
