But yeah, the election segment aged... hm. I do not know if poorly is the right word to use because it does bear striking resemblance to the real world events of 2024, but it still is a very bad thing that it does...

I like how everybodys go "its so like the election fr fr" like they never actually paid attention to it. Only people who actually only watched the mainstream media believed that this was "so shocking win, that its like this show.".Not once was the Election this close, and unlike the show the candidate theyre thinking of Schene deliberately made thing worse then promised to "make it better" like he didn't cause the problem...... almost like what the candidate who was in charge of the corpse in cheif.

The most infuriating thing about Season 7 is that while majority of it is good on it's own, it is a result of a big accident. The show wasn't trying to tell the story that Season 7 actually told, and when the writers realized that people actually enjoyed the story as written, instead of the story the writing thing thought they are writing, they then went on and made sure to destroy everything anyone could have ever liked about season 7 in season 8.

Man, I don't know what the hell you're on about. What do you mean "the show wasn't trying to tell the story that Season 7 actually told"? Just because some people didn't understand what the writers were going for, doesn't mean that they weren't trying to tell that story. How blatant do they have to make Ironwood's authoritarian/control freak tendencies for people to understand them?

ironwood dickriders who claim RWBY is bad bc of V8 are literally the
most tone-deaf, media illiterate people on earth. The literal first
scene-THE FIRST SCENE-we see of Ironwood is that he is jumpy, makes rash
decisions, and responds to every single challenge with an escalatingly
larger gun.

I think they're only the second most tone deaf/media illiterate. Number one has to go to the adam dickriders who complain that Roosterteeth ruined a good character by making him an abusive boyfriend, ignoring that he was being set up that way from the beginning. (This isn't to say that the Faunus/white fang plot was handled perfectly, because god knows it wasn't)

This is why I consider Arthur Watts the most dangerous of Salem's henchmen. He might not be the strongest combattant, but the amount of mayhem he can cause on a large scale without exposing himself is enough to make him Salem's biggest asset.
Without his virus, Cinder would've had a much harder time making Beacon fall. And now he's rigging an election, causin riots in Mantle, while framing their protector for attacking their local hero to maximize the distrust toward Atlas. All with a few finger moves.

19:24 the reason men arent allowed in there, is because if her last thoughta before death are of an old woman or a man, the powers will go to someone completely random, winter being the only one she sees, guarantees her last thoughts will be of winter

So far as we know, Maidens are not generally isolated. The original story of The Seasons implies the common practice is for Maidens to travel the world helping where they can. In Season 3, Qrow told Pyrrha their job can get more difficult if the power goes to someone random if the person last in the Maiden's thoughts at death was not a young woman. This could mean Ozpin's team left it up to chance OR tried to control the situation more over the years by removing variables (i.e. isolating them)
Amber, the Fall Maiden, was brought to Beacon and hidden in the vault as a precaution due to Cinder stealing a part of the power before Qrow stopped them.
In this instance, Ironwood is isolating Fria due to the increasing tension and unrest that started with The Fall of Beacon. It's possible he was planning to do it anyways regardless, but we don't know that.
And remember, isolating a Maiden and letting them see only a single person until they pass doesn't guarantee that person will receive the powers. All of this is just so there is a higher likelihood of them passing to the person of Ironwood's choice.

The power goes to someone random if the previous maiden thinks of "a dude or some old hag" which is why Winter is the only person Fria's allowed to see. Amber (the previous fall maiden) was wandering freely before she was attacked and kept underground on life support. The previous spring maiden ran away from Haven, freely, before she was picked up by the Branwen tribe and then killed by Raven (the current, and currently free to wander, spring maiden). It's assumed that when at the end of a natural life, the maidens are THEN isolated with only the person who's going to be the inheritor of the power. The other two times we know of maiden power transferring is through force, and the assailant was the inheritor. And the fall maiden was an especially rare case, since the power was split and forcefully taken (the chain of events in volume three w/ pyrrah and cinder and everything)

Just want to point out that the communications tower isn't just about reestablishing global communication, it's a direct play against Salem. Someone dismantled and hacked Atlas security from the inside out leading them to believe that there's a traitor in their midst. So telling anyone that does not strictly need to know about the plans for the tower, and anyone Ironwood doesn't trust implicitly like the Ace Ops, Penny, Winter, or our gang is a serious security risk in Ironwood's mind and poses the risk of the project being sabotaged.
And we as the audience know that Tyrian and Watts are already in the city, which means Ironwood's concerns about that are founded. It would be like telling your enemy exactly how you plan to fight against them
