Keep in mind - this is a new look for Adam. When she saw him on the train in episode 1, she wasn't imagining it - although she thought she was, and so did we once Yang actually hallucinated him (notably in his old outfit).

  The statue moment is one of the reasons ep9 is my favorite episode of the entire series, just so beautifully done and impactful. Have been so looking forward to finally seeing them react to it

The woman at the statue is just credited as “Mystery Woman”. Not sure if this is a hot take or not, but I wished they’d just have her be Pyrrha’s mom. I feel like that makes the scene even more meaningful. Especially considering she clearly immediately knew who Jaune was.
