that's not quite where the term Pyrrhic victory comes from, but it was part of the inspiration for her name and character. She was also based on Achilles, and similarly was defeated with an arrow to the ankle.

I can't help but tear up when Forever Fall starts to play.
The world of RWBY feels so lived in. I love shows like that, that really immerse you in the world.

Keep in mind - this is a new look for Adam. When she saw him on the train in episode 1, she wasn't imagining it - although she thought she was, and so did we once Yang actually hallucinated him (notably in his old outfit).
The Pyrrha's statue moment gets me everytime :'(
The statue moment is one of the reasons ep9 is my favorite episode of the entire series, just so beautifully done and impactful. Have been so looking forward to finally seeing them react to it

The woman at the statue is just credited as “Mystery Woman”. Not sure if this is a hot take or not, but I wished they’d just have her be Pyrrha’s mom. I feel like that makes the scene even more meaningful. Especially considering she clearly immediately knew who Jaune was.
