Cordovin being won round by hearing Ruby's courage and willingness to not just run when she could is always one of my favourite things
Almost makes me wonder if she used to have the same hope and stuff and just got worn down over the years of paperwork.

I am super excited for next volume. Vol 7 is probably my 2nd favorite volume (behind Vol 9). Watching it for the first time 4 and 5 were my least favorite, but having since rewatched them about a dozen times at this point I'd say I don't have a "least favorite" volume, just 3 favorite volumes (9, 7, and 6 in that order).

In terms of comments about the RT and rwby community, I'll say that as a little high schooler back in 2010 that was a big RT fan, the community was absolutely rabid. Attacking anyone with a fraction of a divergent opinion and the fan forums were a ahaven for actual direct attacks and harassment. It's one of those big sources that made people go "oh...maybe we should actually stop dismissing online interaction because this is actually gettig dangerous" This might get dismissed as me being a hating Billy, but again I was a bg little nerdy fan and I was absolutely afraid to join the RT community because they were insane. Super unfortnate the staff were complicit in that..eh..research is better than a myriad of opinions. We stan rwby...minus volume 9, personally......

Loved these seasons! Ready for the next and RWBY Chibi too!
I think there are some chibis in the bonus features on certain DVDs (someone more knowledgeable correct me)???
Chibi is 4 seasons of like 75 episodes that are around 3 minutes a piece, but they are AWESOME!
I literally just learned they had a 4th season of 10 episodes right before the company shut down.

Volumes 4 and 5 were the ones that received the most criticism out of all of the ones in the show, Volume 6 and on have been pretty well-liked overall. Tbh Vols 4 and 5 I do think are the weakest from a story standpoint, not terrible just not as tightly written, as well as being the Volumes where the fight scenes are probably the weakest overall. Volume 6 definitely made up for those weakpoints and is one of my favorite Volumes of the show, and where the show felt like it really got into its groove again.

I've enjoyed catching up with you guys so much and as an avid RWBY fan I know you are going to love the next three volumes. I just can't keep up this diamond subscription price going into the holiday months. Once V7 starts hitting the bronze level I'll be back though. So enjoy the ride for all it's upcoming highs and Mariana Trench lows on the way.

It's funny you talk about people who complain without actually watching show, cuz the biggest RWBY author on FF.N has never watched past volume 3. I believe he's read seasonal summaries, but most of his works take place within volumes 1-3, or are an AU that could basically be it's own novel. He has 39 stories ranging from one-shots to a story that has 157 chapters and 1,121,363 word. Four of his stories are over 100 chapters and are basically novels, dude has his own TV Tropes page; https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Creator/CoeurAlAran

This was one of my favorite volumes personally, and I’m glad that you guys enjoyed it. It’s wild to imagine that the entirety of this volume took place in a span of 3 days more or less; especially considering everything that happened. BTW, don’t watch the Volume 7 opening until after episode 3 due to some spoilers.

Rwby has been my favorite show since the first time I watched it a few years ago. I never really understood why some of the middle volumes get the hate they do and I'm glad you guys appreciate them all. Super excited for your reactions to Volume 7, its amazing.

People love to preach that "this isn't what Monty wanted for the show" as if they have any damn idea what he wanted. You know who has a good idea what Monty wanted? His close friend Miles Luna, the Lead writer for the show FROM DAY 1. Miles was writing the bulk of the show while Monty invented the story and characters he used(and was the animator obviously). They had plans for the show and Miles knows better than anybody what those plans were.

I've said this for so long. Monty and Miles had so many big plot points rough drafted through at least Volume 8. And while not spoiling anything I've noticed something in V9's ending that was hinted at back in the V2 library board game.

So Monty, and the other two writers, have the entire story planned out. They already know the ending of the show. They just obviously don’t have Monty for the finer details and such. And, although many people like to “forget” or ignore this detail, Monty only wrote a handful of episodes in V1 through V3. Most were either written by one of the other two writers or all three of them together. That’s why I’m always confused when people say the writing got insanely worse… it’s not as strong in V4 and V5 but it’s still recognizable as RWBY for me. And in my opinion V6 onwards are the best written by far.

I personally think the writing is much better, even in volume 4. The story feels more fleshed out, there are more characters, the pacing is better, longer episodes, etc. Not sure what people are complaining about. My RWBY journey has been fantastic.
