Emerald was referring to the paramedics when she said, "two minds is a stretch,". Both of them saw an illusion of Mercury with an injured flesh and bone leg.

Hey, I think season 6-7 on this is in the wrong order, episode through 5-9 is supposed to be episode 6-7. The other way around. I was confused.
season 3 hurts because it's the closest the show's gotten to being good

Man RWBY was such a cool show, shame they only ever made 3 seasons. Also, my favorite detail of Mercury vs Yang, is that the fight ends with Yang having 16 Aura left, exactly 1 point above the point where the referee would call the match. The show itself never focuses on it and most people miss it completely, but yeah - I really like the fact that Mercury still felt the need to absolutely obliterate his opponent in the match he was throwing. The fact he left her with exactly "1 hp" is such an insane power move...
Also it's fun to think that if RWBY didn't discover the whole train plan - it without a doubt would be happening right now
Im very confused. I’m assuming you’re being facetious about the only 3 seasons thing? Cuz I genuinely enjoy 4 and 5, and there are going to be a total of 9 seasons as of this year
I too genuinely enjoy 4 and 5, I may even be a little controversial to say I enjoy 6 and 7…
Seasons 6 and 9 are absolutely peak, and 7 and 8 are no slouches either. I get people who dropped off after 3 because the tone changed so drastically (I mean it didn't really but that's another conversation), but people who say that 5 is the last good season just astound me.
Not literally the same people, but the same kind of people that stopped liking RvB the moment it stepped from being mostly comedy to getting an actual plot with the Freelancers.
Honestly they just hadn’t come out with 6 and 7 while I was watching them (I don’t think?) but that’s just cuz they were in between seasons and I moved on to other shit in life. I honestly believe that they were probably pretty good and I’m glad you liked them ?

Remember when Penny confessed she was the first synthetic human capable of generating an Aura? And that Penny's from Atlas and is constantly surrounded by guards or near General Ironwood? She's the "significant strides" they've made lol.
So this is where the true story of RWBY begins. Not just a high school training huntsmen and huntresses and cool fights, about basically dire situations with more dire consequences and this overall looming feeling of dread and despair. A lot of people do shit on Volumes 4-5 A LOT but with what happens in this volume it does feel right to have it in the way they are, plus some much needed character growth and backstory added in. Volume 3 is basically what makes or breaks RWBY reactors.
Also to add, a lot of reactors I’ve watched are very confused as to why we see Mercury attack Yang but literally no one else sees it, so I’m glad you’re one of the first to partially get it right. Emerald’s semblance can make a specific person/people see illusions that she wants them to see and while they focus on the illusion she either steals from them or in this case with Yang, causes fear and hate to spread even though that isn’t what happened in reality. To the point in where she starts the illusion we are given an audio queue that basically sounds really high pitch and eerie. So keep an ear out for that audio queue when she does her illusions.
Anyways always love your RWBY reactions and do hope you continue with this series after Volume 3 and form your own opinions on it and go from there.

No worries! Episode 5 isn't as plot heavy as the others so if there's any to watch later, it's best that it's that one. Also highly encourage to watch the intro, When It Falls! It's one of the best imo

Nuts were missing an episode I think. Regardless I love these episodes, I think it’s where you feel the shift start in this show.

So you now know every power you see someone use in this world is a semblance and not magic. Only the maidens possess magic. A semblance is basically like having a super power or quirk specific to only you. There could be a lot of similar quirks but for the most part all semblances are unique to the individual.
GODDD so excited for the rest of season 3! i love the severe tone shift that hit the show in these two episodes, and love the tone it gives us afterwards!
if you're curious, the "two minds" emerald was talking about at the end of episode 6 was the two paramedics that picked up mercury. it was a bit quick, but she made them see an injury that didnt exist on his leg.
also not sure if you guys noticed this, but mercury has guns on his feet. when he kicks, he fires a shot. so his wind bullet things in the fight with yang are technically actually dust bullets, not just the force of his feet hitting the air. the hints about mercury having metal feet were there everytime he fought, because he constantly would stop hard hitting attacks effortlessly with his legs, and also deal really big damage!
everyone hates on season 4, but personally i like it. Of course, there is one arc of it I hate, and usually skip, but the season is great and does some cool things for the series as a hole. I think you guys will enjoy it :]!

Yeah it does suck. Mostly because now they’ll have an odd number of episodes since they react to two at a time, unless they react to three at some point.
