   Yeah, the Planetina episode fucked me up for real. I went through a very toxic relationship at that time, and ultimately she played games with my feelings. Not really the same, but that end scene where Morty is crying always makes me tear up. Such a good episode, especially for his character. But because of my experiences, maybe just the time in my life when I watched that, or being someone who has loved that hard...that shit always fucks me up whenever I see it.

   There is a running trend that as the series progresses we see more and more that ricks trying to be nicer and cares about his family at least while morty is becoming rick without the knowledge to make stuff on his own
