Rick & Morty was created by 2 people: Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland. Solar Opposites was also created by Justin Roiland, but not Dan Harmon, which explains the large difference in their writing. If you like this you guys should ABSOLUTELY react to Community, which was the show that Dan Harmon created before Rick & Morty. It is fantastic, and a lot of the roots of the genius writing of Rick & Morty can be found there.
The purge episode was one of my favorites, mainly cause of the song, the Morty rage we get to see and in general I liked his jab at the lighthouse keeper 'You want me to cut to three weeks earlier? When you were alive?!' and his whole rage speech to Rick XD

Imo, Seasons 1&2 were better than anything 3 or later, but that's just me. It wasn't bad after that, and is absolutely still worth a watch, just not quite as good imo.

also, to be honest, i was one of those people who corrected you on saying these could be different Rick and Morties, but i just want to say that i wasn't saying that to spoil your fun or anything or in anger. I was only letting you know that while it's a cool idea, we're sticking with the same two. i know tone is hard to read over text, but for me at least I wasn't trying to be rude. :)
it's not really basically rick and morty but aliens, it's just made by the same people and has similar-ish styles. it's about a family of Aliens who crashed on earth and are trying to get off of earther before something big happens (that they know is going to happen) not gonna say what the big thing is, tho
That actually wasn't a cover, Nine Inch Nails wrote the original, and the song was made famous by the cover Johnny Cash did. Both are great renditions but I gotta say I prefer NIN's more.
in my opinion the show doesnt drop off maybe season 5 is a bit worst then the rest but the shows stays great

The purge has always been the dumbest idea. Imagine a hypothetical situation where your best friend of 2 decades murders your wife or something. Would you be able to just forgive and forget the day after? And why are there so many sociopaths in the movies who instead of doing shit like stealing or more understandable crimes jump straight to murder. Hell in the very first movie the daughters boyfriend sneaks into their house to kill the father because the father doesn't approve of them dating

If you all are going to watch The Purge (without spoilers) I think the first one was pretty "Eh" but the 2nd and 3rd are really good.
