Tbf, I think I'd be with Benson on this one. If someone kidnapped me and took me away from my home on a mission I wanted no part in while being seprated from my SO, friend, family, and other loved ones, I would also just want to go home. Like Space is really cool (and really terrifying), but I also love being around my loved ones and stuff.

From a big physical media collector, I say get a vcr and crt tv but DO NOT buy them online or for more than $20. Find someone giving a crt tv away free, tons on FB market, and get a cheap vcr from goodwill or thrift stores. It’s the best way to go!

nah i can't blame benson for being a hater on this one. it's weird that all the others flipped from "none of us wanted this we need to get back home asap" to "idk i think it's fine to have to stay in space for months with no notice" so fast LMAO

benson wasn't being a jerk at all there. I wouldn't wanna stay there either, literally kidnapped, got into so many stressful situations, couldn't go on a date w a girl he was waiting a long time to get to do. It's totally reasonable that he would get that upset and hid captors. I'm surprised Skips and Pops wanted to stay

A show thats kind of similar to Adventure time and Steven Universe is Star vs. the Forces of Evil. It starts of innocent and ridiculous but it does have an overarching plot like SU.

Close enough is a great show that I would love to see you guys react too but there is no over arching story. I’ve been saying this for weeks after regular show you guys should really watch infinity train it’s created by one of the writers for regular show truly one of the best Cartoon Network shows ever.

I will say Benson not wanting to be there didn't make him an asshole. If someone doesn't want to do something they shouldn't be peer pressured into it, or in this case forcefully flung into it.

Respectfully, I'm gonna have to disagree. They even said that they're not forced to do any of this, so Benson's not necessarily being forced into it. Also, I think he's just upset that he doesn't have control of the situation, which is understandable because it's what he's used to, it was the same thing the first time the dome appeared. I understand the whole situation is shitty, but It's not like they're going back to earth any sooner if he sulks around so he might as well join the others in what they're doing to at least pass the time.

Nah I'm on Benson's side entirely. I personally probably would've stayed considering 90% of the people I know would, but I fully understand why he didn't want to and think how he acted was entirely fair. He was thrust into a multi-year project in deep space away from Earth, with no warning, time to say goodbyes, or even choice to stay there. The others are very good at going with the flow and accepting their situation, but that's not as easy for Benson, and that's okay.

Edit: i realized I paused literally right before they colonel said they would give him a shuttle pod back to earth, i completely forgot about that lmao. in that case, disregard the last thing i said, but i still think benson is a little bit of wet blanket here, but he kinda always is so yeah

People seem to forget that being told/forced to do something, no matter how much the person would have enjoyed it otherwise, will always make them not want to do it

I forget if they exactly mention it in the show, but it's implied that the termites that forced Pops out of the house during the Pink Planet episode were planted by the scientists so they could secretly install the space stuff for later on
