Pretty cool to think about but Mordecai and Rigby are kinda to thank for Skips' immortality. He introduced the pizza pouches to the Guardians of Eternal Youth and in exchange was granted eternal life. It also sort of makes sense why Pops and Skips are always vouching for Mordecai and Rigby in the beginning of the series (when Benson constantly trying to fire them) because of their previous encounters with them in their past.

Skips lost his woman that he loved
And he vowed to skip both night and day for the rest of his life, and he then changed his name from Walks to Skips
