  1. There is a ton of interesting lore behind the Gorillaz that is hinted at in their various music videoes, but never explicitly spelled out. Some being hidden behind other content such as a fake MTV cribs episode, and some interviews, and such. One tadbit was during one of their albums, Mordoc, the bands bassist, was missing and replaced by Ace from the Powerpuff girls, who turns out is his cousin. So, the Gorillaz actually exist in the same universe as the Powerpuff girls. But Mordoc is missing, because he is actually in Prison for unpaid parking tickets. But he actually escapes prison… A day before he was set to be released.
I believe there has been attempts to make an animated series for the Gorillaz, that just never went anywhere unfortunately.

  2. The Gorillaz band has so much lore surrounding it! The music videos are so great and the characters grow with the audience. Granted, the only one you actually see grow up is Noodle, since she’s a little kid at the beginning of their career and an obvious adult by present day. You guys should react to Clint Eastwood next! It’s a great video and it introduces the characters by name!

  3. If you haven’t seen it over the years you guys should DEFINITELY check out the mystery skulls animated music videos! It’s a scooby doo like premise that’s really good! The order so far is Ghost, Freaking Out, Hellbent, and then The Future.

  4. I’m sure others have said but you should really go through the Gorillaz disco in order. It is very story heavy from what I’ve been told. It is a very interesting storyline from the pieces I’ve heard. I just never took the dive in to the story, I always felt kind of intimidated I guess cus my introduction to the Gorillaz was fairly late I think. I got the demon days cd when I was in 5th or 6th grade I think and I have such a huge soft spot for it.

Definitely do more Gorillaz stuff in the future.

The artwork is so good. I might be wrong but I’m pretty sure it was done by the Tank Girl guy, I can’t remember his name. His style is just so unique and interesting, I love it.

  5. Since Boom mentioned Green Jelly’s 3 little pigs, they should reat to a TOOL music video, I’d recommend either Sober or Schism, but they’re all good.

  6. I know y’all would maybe if our boy H-Man would be up for it react to BTS, I do recommend watching a recap of their WINGS album storyline it’s about ”songs about boys who encounter temptation for the first time and must ponder and agonize in the face of it. As the seven boys experience pain and bliss, they bring forth the image of birds that break out of their shells and try to take flight for the first time.”

    1. Theres also a WEBTOON for it its a going back in time to fix mistakes but each time Jin goes back something worse happens if you do read it.
TW,suicide, suicide by fire, abuse, implied a child witnessed killl of a child or adult i can’t remember and trauma
Do correct me if im wrong on any of the TW

  7. Gonna probably be the only person to do this, and I’m probably really stupid for trying, but I want to introduce you guys to Kpop. Actual GOOD kpop. I think a good song to start of would be First by Everglow, Halazia by Ateez, or Back for More by TXT! Trust me, you might actually enjoy yourself <3

  8. I’m so happy to see you all react to Gorillaz! They are one of my favorite bands! And they do have a ton of lore and they are still around. Also they are in the same universe as Powerpuff Girls ?
There is an order for their songs that shows the characters grow and more story play out. Hopping from song to song can show you different places in their lore. There is also MTV clips featuring the characters and information about them on YouTube.
I recommend Clint Eastwood, (I know you’ve heard it but you’d probably enjoy the music video) 19-2000, (same era as Clint Eastwood for the lore and is good) Dare, (same era as this and great!) El Mañana, (the music video is the sequel to Feel Good’s) Stylo, On Melancholy Hill, Rhinestone Eyes, (there’s a fan made music video using the storyboard because they didn’t make an actual music video) Saturnz Barz, Strobelite, Humility, and Tranz

  9. Okay, so: Gorillaz music videos come in two flavors, in universe music video (Feel Good Inc) and in universe real event (the direct follow up to Feel Good Inc, El Manana). Discerning which is which isn’t usually too hard, but Demon Days intentionally got real weird with it.

  10. if you are curios about more recent Gorillaz and how their animation has changed you could check out ‘Cracker Island’ i also recommend ‘Humility’ ‘Stylo’ and ‘On Melancholy Hill’

  11. Jamie Hewlett is one of the main artists and it’s cool to see how his style has developed over the last 2 decades. I have one of the recent art books and it has a bunch of art from other creators like the creator of power puff girls who had a character from that series actually join the band for a bit and feature in two music videos.

  12. The gorillaz definitely have lore and stuff. There is an order to the videos and extra stuff outside of that. I would recommend the gorilla bites and mtv cribs short that they did when mtv cribs was a thing because it’s a tour of the characters animated studio and its funny as hell. They’ve been trying to make a movie for like 20 years and it looked like they were going to do something recently but it was cancelled due to the streaming service having too much on their plate or something.

  13. Gorillaz music videos have a story, there’s YouTube videos and channels that try to compile them into the right order but it can be a fun little adventure to take lol

    1. The gorillaz videos go in order of the albums mostly but not every song has a story video. The story is mostly implied through the music videos and there are characters videos and them doing activities. The band is not real, they were created by 2 guys, 1 did music and 1 did animation. That’s why they have so many cameos. They were and are the only successful virtual band. I would love for you guys to dive down this rabbit hole

    2. My favorite of their videos are clit Eastwood, DARE, stylo, on melancholy hill, rhinestone eyes, and saturnz barz. They are the peak videos along with this one

  14. Great music:
NF: Clouds (cool nifty video). Rapper
NF: Let You Down (sob sob sob)
Voiceplay: Oogie Boogie Song (acapella group, funny Halloween theme, bass singer is absolutely astonishing)
Geoff Castellucci: Ghost Riders in the Sky (cover of a Johnny Cash (well, Stan Jones) song, amazing voice, cool video)
Tim Minchin: anything (amazing pianist/singer, pop music, songs are often offensive to religious people and frequently have swears. But FUNNY)
Imagine Dragons: Bones (song you’ve almost certainly heard, the video is very appropriate to Halloween and funny)
AJR: BANG! (fun band, cool video)

    1. If you wanna check out the Gorillaz in a more modern era, Saturnz Bars came out in 2017 and has an EXCELLENT music video. It’d also be great for October, kinda spooky.

  15. The video for the song El menana is like a continuation from Feel good inc music video. That song messes me up though, brings me back to some hard times in my life. If you’re looking for more music stuff. You guys might like Frog Leap Studios on YouTube, he does metal covers of anything non metal. He has done a sick cover of Sultans of Swing is a good one, and Dance monkey cover is dope too. He’s done so much I can’t keep naming though. Gorillaz are one of my favorite bands. ?

    1. For some reason El Manana kept getting taken down or blocked in certain countries on Youtube for a while. IDK if it still has that issue, but you can probably find the video somewhere pretty easily.

  16. I think I spent like 4 straight hours of the early AM in college watching and reading everything ever made about Gorillaz! ? I can definitely recommend all the music videos and the one acclaimed fanmade one for “Rhinestone Eyes”.

  17. Heavily recommend more Gorillaz songs if you guys continue to do these. 2D is the name of the lead singer (the character with the blank eyes and blue hair) Russel is the drummer, Noodle is the lead guitarist, and Murdoc is the bassist (though he was briefly replaced by Ace from the Powerpuff Girls a few years ago). Humility, Dare, 19-2000, Saturnz Barz is a music video that utilizes youtubes 3D navigation tools so you can freely look around, Dirty Harry, and Cracker Island are all hugely recommended. They even had a little MTV cribs bit that you can still find on youtube. Though if you have to limit the number of music videos for practicality’s sake, 19-2000, Clint Eastwood, Dirty Harry, Melancholy Hill and Dare are probably THE most quintessential Gorillaz songs after Feel Good Inc.

  18. Love the music videos y’all watching! Another good animated music video to watch is the official video for Shelter (Porter Robinson and Madeon song)!
