The Shining Hotel is real and is actually haunted (if you believe in ghosts). So technically in this case you can go visit your fav movie irl if your fav movie is The Shining.
Little surprise Easter Egg in the background of the fight: RoosterTeeth was able to get Crescent Rose (Ruby’s scythe sniper) and possibly Ruby herself as a background character in the fight, but unfortunately it’s for a split second and when you pause it at that second it’s so blurred it may as well not have been in. But I think that was a huge honor for RWBY to be in a major video game movie like this.
I would love it if you guys watched The Back to the Future movies, and Iron Giant. Another cool thing would be to see you guys watch movies like The Shining, Scream and etc. Scary Movie would be cool aswell.
Also watching this makes me think you guys would really enjoy Tron and Tron: Legacy. More dramatized but same concept of people in a type of augmented reality.

i would also recommend the anime movie Summer Wars, similar vibes with this but more about social media/Digital infrastructure stuff less gaming focus. directed by a guy who also made a Digimon movie with basically the same plot
I think if I hadn’t read the book first, I’d enjoy this movie more. Still a cool watch, but there are some major plot points that were changed from the book to the movie that just bother me wanting to know why they were.
When turning a book into a movie, you gotta trim a lot of stuff to fit the run time. That’s generally why movies based on books usually aren’t good. That’s why instead of the actually satisfying way Wade gets the quarter, in the movie it’s just “here you go”.
The closest example I can think of irl like Holdiays Egg hunt is Gravity Falls hunt for the Bill Cypher Statue
Yes watch Dune Part 1 and Part 2. Watch the new ones first then a watch of the 70s movie would be cool to look back at afterwards.
