Originally it was just red and blue. Green made an appearance in Return of the Jedi because the blue did not work with the blue sky background, so now Jedi = blue and green Sith = red. Mace Windu (Sam Jackson) has a purple one purely because he wanted to be able to see himself in the films.
From an expanded lore perspective that is not mentioned in the films:
Blue: Symbolizes justice, loyalty, and protection
Green: Associated with harmony, peace, and diplomacy
Red: Combines the passion of red with the calm of blue
Purple: Combines the passion of red with the calm of blue (in the books Mace Windu is known for his lightsaber form that combines the light and dark side of the force. Specifically, his fighting style essentially uses a dark side user's own dark side abilities against them).
Fucked my own comment up, red is power, aggression, etc.
"is anakin Jedi Jesus??" yes, yes he very much is
Noah I never noticed that's Warwick Davis next to Watto at the pod race.
Wicket from Return of the Jedi -- the original Yub Yub Ewok
I apologize for my ignorance but, WHO are the JV team? I've been watching their reactions and really enjoying their reactions but i don't actually know who they are. Are they Ruffs kids? Who's kids are these? lol sorry for my ignorance.
They are Alexis on the left, Audrey on the right. They are artists who work on the Billy comics and other artwork on the channel. The long running joke is that they're Boom's kids from the Blazing Saddles reaction (which has Karma not Alexis, another artist)
The Children of Boom (Sean) and SeOhKnee (Erik) Have a wonderful day Billy
I think the one on the left is Alexis, I think she introduced herself in the Paranormal Activity reactions. I'm not sure who the one on the right is.
Yeah, there really should be an about page, cause I'd like to know a little bit about everyone. I don't watch all their reactions so I might miss some Sorta Stupid lore drops here and there.
Y’all aren’t the only ones who are unable to tell Padme and Sabe apart. They are played by Kiera Knightley and Natalie Portman and when dressed and in make up, Kiera Knightley’s mother had trouble recognizing her. Also, the clone wars is set between Episodes II and III. Fairly certain American colonists abandoned “line fighting” and used guerrilla tactics during the American Revolutionary War.
It’s honestly fun watching you guys try to figure out who the real queen is :)
Padmé (played by Natalie Portman) is the real Queen Amidala.
She has a handmaiden named Sabé (played by Keira Knightly) who pretends to be the queen in certain scenes. So in some scenes it’s Padmé in the Queen Amidala make-up and some scenes it’s Sabe in the make-up…. They look so much alike it’s really hard to tell. But Padmé actually is the real queen.
Also on Naboo the queen is actually an elected position that only lasts for a fixed term like president or prime minister.
So there is an anecdote that one of the actresses' own mother couldn't tell Keira Knightley and Natalie Portman apart when they were in the queen makeup. Padme however has been the queen the whole time, and Qui-Gon knew; that's why he's been making fun of her by saying things like "I'm sure the queen trusts my judgment, even if you question it" whenever Padme the pretend-handmaiden tries to say the queen wouldn't approve of Qui-Gon's antics.
I always had the impression that Qui-Gon didn't know due to how he and Obi-Wan both seemed surprised and it was more a running gag that he was really patronizing and sassy with Padme who was the Queen the whole time and he didn't even clock it.
Qui-Gon wasn’t the slightest bit surprised when she revealed who she was. He literally just smirked at Obi-Wan.
Yoda is a puppet in this movie.
This is hands down my favorite Star Wars movie. I’m biased cause I saw it in theaters when I was like 5 or 6 lol. I would agree with the many who say it is not the best Star Wars film, but for me it’s the one I love the most. I grew up watching the original trilogy over and over again on VHS, but seeing this one time in theaters as a child was enough to make it my favorite.
This one was a few years before me, but my earliest memory to date is my dad taking me to go see Revenge of the Sith in theaters when I was 4 years old. Revenge of the Sith came out not even 2 weeks after my 4th birthday, and I was already in love with the world and other 5 movies.
"Just kill watto and take her." Yeah but that doesn't take care of the chip that will blow up if not removed properly. No one on Tattoine would do that and they can't get her anywhere to have it done without it going off.
Damn Alexis. Just being openly intolerant of the Jedi religion? For shame 🤣
39:15 - I agree. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.......
