Don't worry, I put the rat sex quote in the discord already😂👍
I can definitely say that ratatouille (the meal, not the movie) is one of the few vegetables dishes that I've always appreciated. Specifically homemade ratatouille. It's simple, it's cheap, even children like it. And it does bring me nostalgia about my childhood whenever I get to eat some when I go visit my grandma or my mom. It's still, in a way, considered a peasants' dish (you won't find it in the menu of most restaurants, unless we're talking small family restaurants in the countryside), but it's a meal for everyone.
01:35:17 See, that's one of the moments where the JV Team shows they really are a part of Sorta Stupid. I could definitely see that conversation happening with the old crew. Ruff would be the one making the comment, Eric and Bree would start laughing, and Sean would turn the whole thing into a bit. That's the kind of content that makes me love this channel, and I'm glad to see you girls are definitely carrying its spirit.
New video ideas, reacting to and maybe trying to cook some movie recipes?
I would love a little Ratatouille animated series in the animation style from the end credits, it is soo adorable. <3
I have a feeling that the two of you playing the cooking game PlateUp together would be an absolute blast!
The reason why Anton was so moved by the ratatouille is because the old woman that Remy was living in her attic that is his mother.
The thing about them losing the 4th star for Gusteau's death, think about it. If there was a 5 star restaurant, and the guy in charge passed away, then that means someone else will be taking over who may not be as effective as the lost chef was, so they remove a star. It's not like it can't be earned back, it's just a reputation thing anyway.
I love how subtle it is but Anton put on weight and isn't super thin at the end of the movie. The scene of the food reminding him of his mom's home cooking always tears me up because I haven't had anything that hits like my mother's cooking in years. There's also a theory that the old lady at the beginning is actually his mother and that was his childhood home.
My favorite thing about the kissing scene. Remy thought of that because of the couple earlier getting physical with a gun in hand and making out after a negligent discharge of said gun happened. Must be a French thing to kiss in the presence of imminent danger. Romance movies say so at least.

Hello Alexis Andrats!
fun fact: Brad Bird (director for this, The Incredibles, and The Iron Giant) uses a lot of his animators as voice actors; the most notable example being Peter Sohn who voices Emile here. He'd go on to direct The Good Dinosaur and Elemental and was tapped by Bird as the director for the upcoming Incredibles 3.
