I had seen the first Frozen once, after all the hype had died down and I wasn’t too impressed to be honest. My family wanted to see Frozen 2 and I went along reluctantly, when I watched it in theaters I was immediately hooked and became a fanatic. I relate so much to Elsa, especially “Show Yourself”. Many people wanted her to be queer but as a gay man myself I was against it. I love that she is single and has no interest in love, not every story has to involve romantic love.
If you haven’t seen them already, it would be so cool if you watched the Olaf shorts where he retells the stories of other Disney characters. It’s fantastic.
Also, hope yall watch Linon king 2 & 1/2. Aladin 3. (for Squiles)

And plz give Treasure Planet/Dinasour/& Atlantis a shot. SO underrated!
DW you should watch Sinbad/Prince of Egypt/&Spirit some really good/underrated 2D movies

I’m definitely in the minority, but I don’t really like the Frozen movies. In short, after ur reaction, I prefer the 2nd more bc music is better, animation, environment/concepts were really good. I don’t like Elsa, & no, not bc she is a woman. Anna is great, & I like her a lot. I feel Else doesn’t learn anything to make her a better person (She never updates Anna & doesn’t apologize for always leaving her),& there isn’t any justifications for her powers. I like the creativity, but she can send messages to Anna directly, pull out water to show the past; she somehow angered the spirits at the beginning, and she is really OP. I wished they had shown her practicing some of this before or given more justification on how she could do some things. Also, the parents knew about the spirits/ their mom lived with spirits yet still treated Elsa the way they did, thus causing her trauma, which led to the conflicts of the 1st movie. Finally, Kristoff was sideline hard & none of the new characters were important or used well (Like Toy Story 2 introduced Jessie & she was amazing + the other characters). These were my issues but I’m glad others liked it. Scale 1-10 I would give F2 maybe a 7ish & F1 a 6-7ish (just slightly lower than F2). Have an awesome yr & can’t wait to see more reactions! & Yes, DVD sales should return!
My favorite song Show yourself almost didnt happen. It was Literally the last song added to the movie at near deadline. If you watch the documentary on how frozen 2 was made they show you how the songwriters were struggling to create a song that the producers and director felt strongly about because that scene was one of the most important powerful scenes of Elsa finally accepting herself and they told the songwriters if they dont come up with a somg that matches the moment they were going to scrap the whole musical protion. So when they wrote Show yourself and performed it for them Literally the entire room was speechless and in tears! Alot happened during the making of this movie that reflects on the storyline itself and i feel thats why its a better movie over all then the first because its more personal. The next right thing is my second favorite song because Literally not a single person in the theater had dry eyes! That song is so heartbreaking beautiful because it shows how grief can feel but you still have to find a way to move forward. Its the realist song disney probably has even made.
This part! The Prince of Egypt has one of the best soundtracks in film history! The animation and art style hold up. And the cast!!! I absolutely love this movie and its a great suggestion. Its very different from what they’ve watched and would be very interesting seeing their reaction to it.
I used to work at a movie theater and to answer your question about why Elemental didn’t do so well at first. One, it was competition because it came out a week or so after Across the Spiderverse which was a big blockbuster hit for June and most families and children wanted to see that instead. Also, some people are getting tired of Pixar making movies about things having lives (ex. Soul, Inside Out) so people didn’t bother to give it a chance.
Also about Disney Wish, I enjoyed it because as a big Disney lover, it had so many references to the classics that brought back childhood memories. However, I will say that the plot is kind of weak, with some plotholes to the story and the villain which was good at the end but the way they introduced him was a bit odd. Disney Wish is a tough one because it depends on how much you love Disney and how much you know about the classics which leads to liking it or not. It would be interesting to see you guys react to it and voice your opinion on it, who knows, you might feel the same way as you did with Elemental.

Awesome reaction guys! I remember seeing this movie in theaters with my friends a long time ago, so it was nice to revisit the story. (Plus, I’m excited to hear that there’s a 3rd and 4th movie coming soon!?)
The fact Wish would’ve been animated to Disneys 2D style and also apparently can’t remember who maybe the director or producer said 2D animation has limitations!?
I’ll probably give Wish a try and see of it’s the disappointing film that many claim also I’ve seen some 3D animators call Wish not fully rendered I’m not that knowledgeable on 3D animation so I’ll like to read 3D animators/artists opinion on that.
There are so many missed opportunities in Wish, it makes me sad. Their initial concept and designs had potential but Disney decided to play ‘safe’ I guess. I also rarely find good review for the movie, but who knows until I watch it myself. I was so excited when I heard that Wish would adapt to the traditional 2D style, but they ended up looking unfinished. The limitation thing is also quite an absurd reason considering old Disney animations like Beauty and the Beast and Hunchback of Notre Dame managed to have amazing camera movements. Feels like Disney just wants to find an ‘easier’ way since 2D animation would require more time and work.
For me I love both frozen and frozen 2 but I loved kristoff’s arc more in the first. Like they kind of just ignore him a lot in this one which sucks. I get it that Anna is trying to look after Elsa but she’s leaving kristoff in the dust and it’s annoying because they did so much together the last time. Why did they have to write him and Anna this way in this movie. It sucks
I think you guys should check out the DreamWorks trolls movies, they’re honestly pretty good. They are considered kids movies but the music and animation are pretty dang good especially the third one that just came out like a month ago. Definitely worth a watch imo
The voice for Elsa is Idina Menzel and like you said in the video, she was on a few episodes of glee but she wasn’t a regular. She is actually very well know in the theatre world seeing as she is a broadway star. I actually only watched the first frozen movie because she was in it. The voice for Kristoff was also in glee as jesse st. james and is another broadway star. He actually was in the original cast of hamilton as King George. Sorry that was a lot but i love live theatre and this cast is just amazing!
I love seeing the new reactions to this movie. Especially those post the main uncertainties of covid. The maturity levels were upped in the second to address that the crowd had grown up a bit, so i always find it interesting when people see it back to back

I do like this movie better, but I think it needed the first movie to be as good as it is.
